This class is for people wanting to step into the world of hand sketching and painting. Hand sketching is a powerful tool for not only architects and designers but also for someone wanting to capture their imagination and vision together. I have experimented with diverse drawing and sketching tools like ink, soft pastels, water colour, pencil shading etc over last five years and have realised close relationships between what is being sketched and the tools used. I also have knowledge about various perspective drawings and have been engaged in urban-scape sketching for quite some time.
The classes can be held indoors as well as outdoors for live sketching sessions.

This class is for people wanting to explore their abilities in the field of sketching and painting and hence will be modified and designed for each individual differently based on their interests and ambitions.

I am Akshar, an architect from India. With both my grandparents and parents being a part of the academic community I have had a very close affiliation with tutoring since an early age. I have finished a five year degree in architecture from India and am now doing an advanced masters course in urban design at EPFL Lausanne.

I teach drawing and painting classes with my partner in our studio in the center of Lausanne. Classes are individual but take place in a group setting, which means you can start at any time of the year. You will follow a program tailored to you, while following the structure of a method created by my partner and myself, which is the fusion of our two approaches and experiences in the field.

ACRYLIC PAINTING - course open to all!
The objective:
To deepen your knowledge or familiarize yourself with acrylic painting;
Encourage your personal creativity;
Give wings to your imagination and... have fun!

After a short introduction, I will explain some essential rules of acrylic painting, and you will begin by discovering how to build your artwork step by step.
Different stages in the creation of a work of art:
- for technique: creation of flat washes, washes, material effects, rubbing;
- for colours: research and composition of your palette;
- for tools: different types of brushes and their uses; other various tools possible with acrylic paint.

I will offer you several photos and models of subjects to work on, but you can also work on a model of your choice.

PAINTING CLASSES FOR CHILDREN
A course that encourages creativity and self-expression.
Various mediums will be used such as acrylics, watercolor pencils, and wax pastels, somewhere between painting and drawing.
We will cover several technical points, always through creation, and everyone will paint at their own pace :-)
