French has been one of the most spoken languages in the world, and it is sometimes said that one day it will be more spoken than English in working environment in the next following decades. But it's mainly known for being the language of Voltaire and Hugo.

As far as languages are concerned, I am a French and Russian native speaker who developed huge interest for foreign languages and foreign cultures since the earliest childhood. During my previous experiences as a private tutor, learning support assistant and language assistant, I have also always enjoyed working with different people, whenever they are young or less young, pupils, students or other learners. Therefore I tailor my lessons according to my students' French level, strongest points and weakest points.

As much as I prioritise my students' needs I also prepare certain exercises myself; what I particularly enjoy about it is to alternate lessons dedicated to the French language and lessons that are more French culture-related. For instance, I could introduce French conjugation during one lesson, and the next lesson can be about some nice places to visit in France. I personally think it makes more sense to not just learn a language but also the culture that goes with it. Otherwise, learners would eventually lose every interest for a language and they would learn keep learn only for obligations: job wise, travel wise,....

For me, it's important to find a balance between putting my students' needs first and sharing with them the way I used to learn a language. Indeed, if the methods i have used worked for me it will work for other people too.

When it comes to learn a language, it also makes sense to learn the culture that goes with it. Therefore my lessons will not be only grammar, vocabulary, listening/verbal understanding... Topics such as French gastronomy, History, TV news,... will be brought on the table.

I enjoy adding a touch of humour and a playful touch in my lessons. French lessons will be the occasion of learning about interlinguistic puns, about French humour, and learning in a playful way, sometimes. Riddles, crosswords, or any other game can be used in teaching as well. If the French actor Molière used to talk about 'putting the useful and the pleasant together' it must be for a reason.

Then I gained skills as a private English and Russian tutor and helped students of different ages. My name is Fawzi, and I am a French language teacher. Since 2012, I have been giving private lessons online. My objective is to support learners towards success in the DELF (Diploma of Studies in French Language) or the DALF (Advanced Diploma in French Language), as well as the TCF (French Knowledge Test). I have had the pleasure of helping many students of different nationalities through my online courses. - The DELF (Diploma in French Language Studies) and the DALF (Advanced Diploma in French Language) are two high-quality official diplomas. They are aligned with the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and cover the following six levels, from the most basic to the most advanced: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2. These diplomas are suitable for all ages and all audiences.
- The DELF B2 and, increasingly, the DALF C1, provide access to French, European or French-speaking universities, as well as certain Grandes Ecoles.
