So, you have made it past the first round of your application to medical school? Congratulations! You are almost there. Now, all that's left is an interview standing between you and your future as a doctor.
Prepping for an interview can be extremely daunting. What questions will they ask? How should I answer them? How do I balance this with studying for my A levels?
This class aims to tackle this and help get you some practice in order to ease some stress off your shoulders. We will work together on verbal and non-verbal communication. This can involve answering the common questions (why medicine?) and the slightly tougher ones (why should we choose you over another candidate?)
Then we will go through everything that you have done well and areas that can be improved, so you can confidently secure your offer to med school. :)

Hi, I am originally from Malaysia but I have been studying in the UK since my A levels.
My teaching style revolves around you as a student. Firstly, we will address the areas of your concern before the teaching begins. Together, we can form a learning plan for you and this can involve seeing what you already know, and how we can apply knowledge to answering exam questions.
This can involve some homework such as answering a few past paper questions, or short quizzes to check on your active recall.

TECHNOLOGIES AT THE SERVICE OF LEARNING.

My name is Laurie and I am an independent FLE teacher, graduated in French and Romance Languages and Literature since 2012. I have eight years of experience under my belt (abroad and in Belgium). I created a learning method for online courses. I have been preparing students for the DELF, DALF, TCF, FIDE, admission exams, etc. for several years.

The course includes:
-The material (articles, videos, exercises based on images and texts, grammatical theory, links to the exercises, etc.). I use google doc, so the ideal is to have a gmail address to be able to access it.
-Correction of exercises outside the course (written expressions are corrected outside the course, or with the student, depending on their needs).
-Access to an application (free) to study vocabulary on your smartphone.
-A vocabulary sheet - pronunciation - grammar/conjugation, sent after each lesson.
-If necessary, a recording of the vocabulary (for beginners).
-Carrying out online exercises and tests based on the vocabulary sheets sent.
-Motivation, laughter, good humor :-)

My method:
-It is oral based.
-For grammar, I use a particular method which allows oral structures to be automated.
-We work on pronunciation with the verbotonal method (exercises to pose your voice, for rhythm, etc.). I might even make you sing! :-)
-Everything goes through the oral before going through the writing but I obviously adapt to the needs of the students.
-The course is a little different for children and teenagers: I use interactive games and cards via the webcam.

I prepare the student for the entrance exam for medicine and/or dentistry. Because a lot of work goes into this, I recommend enjoying both early and well-planned preparation so that the chances of passing this exam are optimal.

The subjects covered are mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics. The silent reading text of the afternoon part is also drilled. Tips are also given regarding taking the exam itself, the structure of the questions and how best to start.
