Hello singers! This course is for individuals who are either new to singing and/or have never sung in a professional setting before and are looking for an introduction into that area of the music world. Welcome! My name is Elisa, and I have been singing professionally for 12 years. I am currently working on my BA of Choral Music Education! Contrary to popular belief, singing and singing WELL is not something that people are born with the ability to do, rather, we as singers must train our voices like any other instrument. In this class, I will teach you how to grow your vocal abilities and give you an introduction to vocal mechanics and technique, as well as work on a variety of different songs that you as the student can help choose! I look forward to being your instructor and singing with you!

- I have been a lover of all things musical since I was a little kid and I am eager to share this passion with my students!
- I am currently in 3 different choirs and am a full time students
-I started singing when I was 6 years old, it is never too early to start!
- I specialize in classical music and musical theater, but enjoy singing contemporary music as well!

Jawa (1996) a Syrian oud player, singer and composer.
I was born in Aleppo, and I grew up in Damascus, Syria. I started playing music at the age of eleven. I chose the Oud as my instrument because my father used to play it everyday at home when I was young. My name is Eman, I'm a certified Voice & Speech Therapist at Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.
Working at Demrdash Hospital & Ain Shams Specialized Hospital as a Voice & Speech Therapist.

B) Neurogenic causes: organic voice disorders that result from problems with the central or peripheral nervous system innervation to the larynx that affect functioning of the vocal mechanism, such as:
- Vocal tremor.
- Spasmodic dysphonia.
- Vocal fold paralysis.
- Vocal cord paralysis or weakness.

2- Functional causes: voice disorders that result from inefficient use of the vocal mechanism when the physical structure is normal, such as:
- Vocal fatigue.
- Muscle tension Dysphonia or Aphonia.
- Diplophonia.

Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years.

My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. With determination and hard work, significant progress can be made in a year, allowing one to play simple melodies.
