Hello, my name is Aldana, I am a music teacher and professional guitarist. While playing guitar is my passion, being a teacher is one of my favorite aspects of my role as a musician.

In me you will find a person who believes that we are all capable of learning to play an instrument, that it is never too late to do so, and who will be willing to guide you through the process of learning to play the guitar with patience, knowledge, perseverance, organization and above all... Fun!

My classes will be 100% personalized to your preferences, musical interests, time, and objectives. We will use resources such as videos, graphics, images, games, tablature (or sheet music if you are interested in learning to read music in a conventional way), and more.

In addition, at the end of each class, you will receive online notes, where you will be able to get a summary of the material worked on in the class, which you will have access to even if you are no longer taking lessons with me.
We will work not only on the technique of the instrument but also on ear training, analysis, composition, and music theory. And focusing all of that on your personal and artistic expression through the guitar.

My ultimate goal is that you can enjoy learning and can make this beautiful instrument a means to communicate everything you have inside you.

Hola! Me llamo Aldana, soy docente de música y guitarrista profesional. Si bien tocar guitarra es mi pasión, ser profesora es uno de mis aspectos favoritos del rol como música.

En mi podrás encontrar una persona que cree que todos somos capaces de aprender a tocar un instrumento, que nunca es tarde para hacerlo y que estará dispuesta a guiarte en el proceso de aprendizaje de la guitarra con paciencia, conocimiento, constancia, organización y sobre todo... ¡diversión!.
Mis clases estarán 100 % personalizadas a tus gustos, intereses musicales, tiempos y objetivos. Utilizaremos recursos como videos, gráficos, imágenes, juegos, tablaturas (o partituras si te interesase aprender a leer música de forma convencional) y más.

Además al finalizar cada clase recibirás apuntes online, donde podrás acceder a un resumen del material trabajado en la clase, al cual tendrás acceso aún cuando ya no tomes lecciones conmigo.

Trabajaremos no solamente la técnica del instrumento sino el entrenamiento auditivo, análisis, composición y teoría musical. Y enfocando todo eso en tu expresión personal y artística a través de la guitarra.

Mi objetivo final es que puedas disfrutar del aprendizaje y puedas hacer de este hermoso instrumento un medio para poder comunicar todo lo que llevas dentro.

The guitar is undoubtedly one of the most popular instruments of the modern age. It is so versatile and used in many genres ranging from classical music to Death Metal and even Electronic Music.

I will teach you the basics of playing the guitar, and I'll spice it up later with my experience in composition and songwriting. We will learn by example through the famous songs that shaped our understanding of the guitar. Whether you prefer singer-songwriter-style songs, or thrash metal we'll get there together.

I will teach mainly using the guitar tablature format, we can do sheet music which is generally unneeded for anything besides classical, but I will need to refresh my music sheet reading skills as I haven't had to read any in the last 10 years.

Welcome to the world of music!

In this course, we will dive together into learning each musical instrument through an integrated approach that enhances your technical skills and satisfies your passion for music.

In Oud, we will focus on:

Musical Maqams: Deepen your understanding of Arabic Maqams and how to apply them to playing. Musical Notes: Learn to read and perform notes on the oud with skill. Pick Exercises: Improve playing techniques using a pick to develop movement between the strings. Technique Exercises: Build playing skills through various exercises to improve speed and accuracy. Oriental Songs: Learn to play the most famous oriental tunes and songs to be able to give a distinctive performance. Musical Pieces: Study traditional and contemporary oriental pieces while developing individual performance skills.

As for the piano, we will focus on:

Musical Notes: Learn to read and write notes easily while improving your musical skills. Musical Scales: Study major and minor scales and their effect on playing pieces. Chords: Learn to build different chords and how to use them in playing. Western and Eastern Pieces: Present a mix of Western and Eastern pieces that enhance your skills and develop your artistic taste. Technique Exercises: Advanced exercises to improve hand coordination and improve performance on the piano.

In guitar, we will learn:

Musical Notes: Read and write notes easily and effectively on the guitar. Chords: Study chords and how to use them in songs and pieces. Technique Exercises: Exercises to develop left and right hand speed, focusing on accuracy and transition between chords. Musical Pieces: Learn to play different pieces from a variety of styles including Eastern and Western songs.

In oriental singing, we will learn:

Vocal Techniques: Exercises to strengthen and improve the voice, with an emphasis on breathing techniques and larynx control. Oriental Performance: Learn how to perform famous oriental songs, paying attention to the tones and subtleties that characterize Arabic singing. Control of vocal pitches: Develop the ability to move between vocal pitches easily, whether in high or low melodies.
