I'm a professional Bass player and teacher based in Amsterdam.
I have studied with some of the best teachers in Europe as well as famous bassists from the New York Jazz Scene. Besides my studies I have been actively performing, recording and teaching since age 16, which led me to play at different festivals and venues such as North Sea Jazz, JazzOpen Stuttgart, Bimhuis, DeDoelen Rotterdam.
I'm calm and easy going and I want to pass on the knowledge I got from my teachers as well as my own experience. I always focus on getting you ready or better at playing in a band, since that's what we do as bass players! I'm experienced in and open to a wide variety of styles, my specialization being Jazz.

First we will talk about your musical preferences and see what an achievable goal would be. That could be playing the bass line of your favorite song, building up a musical repertoire to join a band or many other things.

Je suis un excellent pédagogue, et je m'adapte au niveau de l'élève, que ce soit en termes de maîtrise technique de l'instrument, de capacités de lecture des notes (ou tablature), aussi bien que de compréhension du solfège et de la théorie. Je me mets au service de l'élève, de son niveau et de ses goûts et projets musicaux. J'ai une connaissance approfondie de la théorie musicale, particulièrement en jazz, et une longue expérience de jeu en ensemble (jazz, rock et metal progressif). Ich studiere Jazzgitarre an der MUK - Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien bei Professor Christopher Pawluk. Ich spiele seit 10 Jahren aktiv Gitarre und habe auch 3 Jahre Unterrichtserfahrung. Ich bin bestens ausgebildet, um Jazzgitarre zu unterrichten, kann aber auch erweiterte Kenntnisse in anderen musikalischen Genres anbieten, wie : Klassik, Rock, Pop, RnB, Soul, Funk, und so weiter. Ich arbeite gerne mit allen Menschen zusammen, die Musik jeglicher Art mögen und sich verbessern oder Gitarre lernen wollen. Ich kann auch Bassgitarrenunterricht anbieten.

Learn guitar from an experienced musician from Germany! I have played guitar for more than twenty years now and played over a hundred gigs with different bands (rock, pop, singer/songwriter, cover).

My method is a very simple one - tell me, what you would like to play, and I will teach you to play it in a few lessons. No musical background knowledge is needed, and we will not dive too far into music theory. My lessons are all about fun and learning quickly and without many difficulties.

Professional musician and teacher for 15 years.
Lessons in Berlin (Neukölln, Tempelhof, your location) and also available online internationally.

I offer in-person and online lessons in double bass and electric bass, improvisation (all instruments, from general ideas to specific concepts) and composition, specialising in Western and experimental notated music and creatively using Ableton as a composition tool. I am based in Berlin-Neukölln and Tempelhof or can come to your location.

I am active throughout Europe as a composer, performer and improviser, and also perform regularly in Berlin. As well as being a full-time professional musician, I was a senior lecturer at Leeds Conservatoire, UK, from 2018-2023, developing and delivering courses and curriculums, and have been a private teacher for 15 years. I hold Bachelor and Master's degrees in music, double bass and composition and have studied at schools in Birmingham, Paris and Berlin.

Our lessons are based around the areas you are most interested in developing, and together we come up with a plan to help you move closer to your aims and goals, whether that be learning specific songs or repertoire, being able to improvise basslines or solos, improving technique etc. I am open to all ways of learning at all levels, from beginners to professionals. I additionally offer free optional audio or video feedback between lessons which can serve as useful reminders of ideas, techniques, exercises etc. or just to check in.

Instrumental lessons are relaxed and can include theory, composition and improvisation from the beginning to help develop well-rounded musical skills. Improvisation lessons are suitable for all instruments/vocals and can cover specific musical contexts such as jazz, free improvisation, interpretation of new music (contemporary music) etc.

In my teaching career I have also had the opportunity to develop specialist music projects with children and young adults, using interesting, fun and creative starting points. At the same time my current students range from age 16-50+ and my practise as a professional improviser allows me to be flexible and keep things interesting across all ages, ability levels and genres. Ultimately, it is about developig a personal relationship with the instrument or music, that keeps you engaged and having fun!

Letztendlich geht es darum, eine persönliche Beziehung zu einem Instrument oder zur Musik zu entwickeln, die dich engagiert und mit Spaß bei der Sache hält!
