Hello! I'm Jaeyoung, a native Korean speaker with 8 years of experience as a Korean tutor.
I was born in Seoul and moved to Ireland after working in Korea for six years.

I have taught international students from the U.S., Poland, Ukraine, Russia, and Kazakhstan. Many of my students have studied with me for over three years, and I'm proud that several have gone on to become Korean interpreters or teachers in their home countries after starting lessons with me.

In addition to tutoring, I worked as a Korean Language Specialist in the localization industry for 8 years and was awarded Best Korean Localization for two consecutive years. In my lessons, you will learn not only business etiquette and cultural insights but also practical daily expressions for real-life situations!

My lessons are fun and fully customized to your interests. I focus on what you enjoy and what you aim to achieve, ensuring that learning Korean is engaging and stress-free. I offer a series of lessons that I adapt according to the learner and the language he wishes to learn. Each language is different, so learning methods can vary.
When you book a lesson, you must reserve a minimum of 1h30 and a maximum of 2 hours per lesson, except for the first lesson where you can reserve 1 hour.

A graduate of East Asian Studies (Autonomous University of Barcelona), I have been giving private lessons in languages such as English and Spanish for seven years, and I have been teaching Korean for two years. I also have experience as a basic-level Korean teacher at the Sejong Institute in Barcelona.

In my undergraduate degree, I majored in Japanese and Korean language and literature. I have been living in Korea for two years, during which I have obtained TOPIK 6 and C2 level of Korean at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul. I am currently pursuing a postgraduate degree to obtain the official title of Korean teacher.

I think that not being a native speaker of the language and having to learn it from scratch has provided me with very important tools to try to help Spanish speakers approach a language as different as Korean. In my classes, I adapt to the pace and needs of each student, without putting pressure. With me you can work on grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading and writing comprehension, and we can focus on one of them in particular if required.
