Thinking of starting your own business or wanting to develop skills as an entrepreneur? You've come to the right place! Whether you already have an idea or if you're looking to explore one - take this as your first step.

I have had many personal ventures throughout my school life, university life and now post graduate life. I now run a company called Leiho that has been operating since December 2019 - we are a social impact business that helps people in need. This will be a very interactive session that will get you thinking out of the box and learning more about yourself as a leader.

This class will look at the basics of starting your entrepreneurial journey from discovering problem, solution, understanding what customers what, value proposition, business model, marketing solutions to many more. Running your own business means having the skills to work all kinds of roles, step into different shoes and to be persistent, confident and to not fear.

The first sessions will be focusing on mindset and making sure you are prepared for all the downfalls and all the milestones that you will achieve. All lessons will be tailored to what kind of journey you want to build for yourself.

Joey is the CEO of Leiho, a social impact brand that helps improve the quality of life for homeless people, starting with socks. For every pair of bamboo socks sold, Leiho gives another pair to a homeless person. She builds purpose around people and as a curious leader she has gained most of her experience from project management roles to organising fundraisers, hosting events and exploring new ventures.
