Adobe Premiere Pro is a highly effective and powerful program for video editing and filmmaking. It is used by not only industry professionals but also film enthusiasts that simply want to make a video for YouTube.

I am an experienced freelance filmmaker, and I hope to teach the basics of non-linear editing through Adobe Premiere Pro so that students who are interested in making their own films can learn how to make their own films on their own computers. This class is designed for beginners who are interested in learning how to use the program. You will learn the basic tools and keyboard shortcuts, as well as the basic workflow of the interface. You will also learn the basics of video editing working with film clips or your own footage.

About Me

Originally from Guangzhou, China, I obtained a BA in biology and anthropology. Right now, I am pursuing my MA in visual anthropology at Goldsmiths. I am a freelance filmmaker with experience in producing, directing, and editing documentaries.

In addition to English being my primary language, I speak and write Cantonese and Mandarin. I also like to cook and boulder during my free time.

With a honours BA in anthropology and now an MA candidate in visual anthropology, I am highly experienced in academic essay writing. I have also experience in tutoring English to non-native speakers, so my goal is to help students improve their writing and grammar not only within an academic setting. This class is for those familiar with basics of Chinese language who wish to improve upon their spoken and written skills in mandarin Chinese. The focus is on increasing vocabulary in both spoken and written form, which you will be given new vocabulary over time and be given a chance to practice making conversation. For those who are more beginners, you will be able to form basic sentences and initiate conversation by the end of the course. For those more advanced, you will be form a richer vocabulary bank and increase in your ability to write.
