My name is Girts and I’m guitar player, band leader, composer and arranger.
I’m coming from Latvia, but currently I’m living in Maastricht and I’m studying in Conservatorium Maastricht.
I have more then 10 year experience in teaching music.
In Latvia I was working as a jazz/pop guitar and arranging teacher, as well as an ensemble leader and rhythm group teacher for student big bands and small bands.
I’m able to teach music theory and music harmony as well.
Mosty I’m focusing on jazz and blues, but I’m very open minded for other music styles as well - as pop and rock.

Focusing on posture, hand coordination, rhythm, ear training, reading scores, and improvisation. So far my musical exposure in many different genres allows me to create a lesson that is adapted to the specific needs of my students. I have garnered the patience and belief in the idea that anyone can become a part of the music world with the proper amount of attention and guidance.

1. Electric bass: Learn to play and understand jazz, funk, metal, R&B, pop or any other style with the necessary techniques (including slap bass, from basic to advanced).
2. Double bass: Learn the techniques and knowledge involved in playing double bass and apply them to playing either Jazz, or any other style.
3. Music theory: Learn the theory behind what you are playing and gain a deeper understanding of the music you are playing.

Any level welcome in this class. Learning songs is the beginning of the adventure, learning to play music with freedom is the lifelong journey. Improvisation does not mean we forget about technique! So, learn some saxophone, some jazz skills, and music theory in a tried-and-tested way developed over my many years of teaching.

I am as passionate about improvisation as the saxophone itself, the two go together beautifully.

Hi! I’m Nadia, a jazz pianist originally from Poland and now based in the Netherlands. I hold a BA in Jazz Piano from Conservatorium Maastricht, where I also completed the Advanced Teaching Skills elective. I’ve been teaching private piano lessons alongside performing professionally in concerts and projects across different styles. My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals — whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced player looking to explore jazz, improvisation, or pop music.
