Hello! My name is Karla. I have gained 11 years of experience in teaching English in a range of schools, and most recently, a proven track record of educational leadership as KS3 Coordinator/ KS4 Coordinator, respectively, from 2022-24. I continue to foster a love of literature and I'm excited to support more students with their studies. I attribute my positive relationships with students and their progress to my ability to design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to individual needs. I employ various assessment strategies to track student progress and provide timely feedback, ensuring continuous improvement. I specialize in English and French lessons to teenagers and Adults, in one on one or small group sessions, as well as in telephone lessons.
I help students perfect their grammar, vocabulary and syntax in business English(or French) or in conversational English(or French).

My approach to teaching is very close to coaching as I keep in contact with learners between lessons(by e-mail or telephone) to accompany them through their language needs and challenges.

I have a CELTA certificate (Certificate in Teaching English to Adults) and an MA in English Literature completed at Kingston University London. I also have an MA in Multilingual Communications from the ‘Université Libre de Bruxelles’ in Brussels and a BA in Modern Languages (English/Spanish).

I have been working as a teaching assistant and as a teacher of English and French as foreign languages since 2010 in various schools in both Luxembourg and London. Teaching and studying languages in different countries has given me an opportunity to discover a range of different learning and teaching environments.

Student at ESCP Europe since September 2014 after two years of preparation at Intégrale-Prépa, I am currently studying on the London campus of my school in West Hampstead, and I am looking for a job as a private teacher.

Involved, patient and organized, I have the right ingredients to be a pleasant and effective teacher and as such my experience in the field is a proof. It's been a year and a half that I teach very different students by their age - 14 to 20 years -, their social class and their level, and I always got good results with them thanks to my ability to adaptation and my sense of pedagogy.
