I am Thijs (28), an experienced drummer and musician, with a wide range of musical interests. Studying jazz drums under the wings of Lander Gyselinck at the KASK/Conservatorium in Ghent. I also took master classes and lessons from/with Joey Baron (US), Kendrick Scott (US), Corey Fonville (US) and Stéphane Galland (BE). I am also active in various bands/groups. My lessons, depending on the level, focus on both the fundamental building blocks of drumming and music as a whole. These building blocks together with the student's interests form the curriculum, so that it meets the student's wishes as best as possible. I also teach music theory/music theory. I have just finished 6 years of studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels during which I obtained a bachelor's degree in classical percussion as well as a bachelor's and a master's degree in jazz drums, notably following the teachings of Stéphane Galland (Aka Moon, Ibrahim Maalouf).
