Am a qualified and certified tutor in the area of Mathematics and Chemistry. Am a holder of Bachelor of education Science degree from the University of Nairobi.
I have teaching experience of slightly over two years in both kenyan curriculum and the cambridge International system (IGCSE).
My teaching tagline is always Teach, Equip, Inspire since I do teach for the student to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills in the subject area, but also to equip and inspire the learner with values and attitudes that are necessary for becoming a productive and innovative member of the global society.
The teaching methodologies I use include discussion, question and answer method, visualization, group work where more than one learner is involved, inquiry based learning, hands on experience, learning by doing and use of technology in teaching and learning among others. However, no one method is perfect by its own and therefore the best thing I do is differentiation.
Being a tutor is great and fulfilling. It's always rewarding and self fulfilling when I see a student I have mentored succeed in the academics and eventually in life. That aspect of having nurtured an individual to a productive member of the society is always an intrinsic motivation by itself.
I am an inspiring, caring and student-focussed teacher. My students tell me I have great passion and committed to my work.
