I have been teaching students of various levels from all around the world for over 5 years. I have helped students prepare for French exams like the DELF, as well as those who are planning to move to a French-speaking country and need real-life language skills. I understand the challenges of learning a language, having learned two languages myself: English and Portuguese, and plan to learn more. For beginners, I recommend trying out the Pimsleur method, which is a 30-minute audio lesson based on gradual interval recall. This method reviews learned vocabulary at increasingly longer intervals and has been used by the CIA. If you are interested, we can discuss how to use this method together. I offer French lessons remotely through Skype, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams or at the students place. When the lesson is online, I use a platform that allows us to see and modify documents, images, and videos in real-time, which is very useful. I have facilitated workshops and given classes throughout my career all over the world. English pronunciation is essential these days because English is spoken everywhere and all the time. I followed specialized training such as the verb tonal method, Feldenkrais or mental coaching. We are therefore going to work in a slightly different way by combining articulatory techniques, movement, rhythm, intonation, warming up of the jaw and tongue, stretching of the neck, neck and shoulders to arrive to very fast results.

I adapt to the pace and preferences of each person, on the topic of conversation that interests them. For beginners, I suggest starting with everyday vocabulary, expressions of standard French and/or specific to the country. For the more advanced, we can start discussions on a subject that fascinates them from their language to French.

In the case of tutoring, I base my lessons on the subject seen by the student by explaining to him in another way with many examples and by making him practice as much as possible. In case of learning the basics, I have set up my own totally interactive method so that the student can practice and during which I speak almost only in English to be close to immersion during the lessons.
