For those with aspirations in the acting profession Drama School is an invaluable resource. However, application numbers are incredibly high and places are few. The learning and growth that can be achieved on these programs in inaccessible unless you can gain one of those coveted spots.

What you can expect me to help with:
- Practical working of speeches.
- Verse speaking technique.
- Voice work (inc. breath support, articulation, range, resonance etc')
- Suggested pre-audition vocal warm-ups.
- Advice on speech choice.
- Guidance on audition procedure

About me:
I have trained across a range of disciplines, studying clown and physical comedy at Ecole Philippe Gaulier before completing the 3-year training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where I received The Cormac Richards Young Actor Award for outstanding performance. Past students include Oliva Coleman, Jeremy Irons and Daniel Day-Lewis.

Since graduating I have worked with Full House Theatre; guest-starred on an episode of BBC1's Doctors; played Toby Belch and Sebastian in a production of Twelfth Night with the Orange Tree Theatre, and played Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol with Half Cut Theatre. Most recently I've been back at the Orange Tree playing Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream.

For all levels, for both children and adults, and diploma preparation.
All aspects of the language would be targeted during the lessons, emphasizing those desired by the student (ex: conversational, grammar)

Depending on the level and the method of study will be adapted to each student, with outside-of-class follow up. The classes will be conducted in either English, French, or both, once again depending on the needs and the level of the student.
Classes focused on the reinforcement of the language can also be organised, focused on specific topics that the student is interested in, which will allow the student not to lose the language and to develop further their knowledge of lexicon in the specific area.

In what concerns diploma preparation, the lessons will focus on the particularities of the tests (timing, response format, lexicon, etc).

Hi! I am a native Spanish student spending his last year of a dual BA in London. As a lover of my language with acquired experience on the field of teaching, I would love to be your new Spanish tutor!

From beginners until fluent speakers, I am glad to share my mother tongue with you. In my course, you will find personalised content depending on who you are. In fact, I always do my best to adapt the lessons to my students' own hobbies and interests. My objective is to make Spanish a complement of your their life, not something "different" or distant. I want you to see this language as an ally that will open you a universe of professional, social and cultural possibilities during your life. Even if I come from Spain, I will gladly focus in any of the Spanish speaking cultures that may interest you the most, if this is what you wish. As a matter of fact, I did a two years degree in Latin American studies. Thus, I acquired a deep knowledge on every country between Mexico and Chile!

I search for students who are motivated by the language and believe that learning Spanish can be a great experience for their lives. Don't worry about the starting point, what matters is the distance that can be made from it.

STRUCTURE OF THE LESSONS:

I build my lessons through a communicative approach maximising the use of the target language.
My lessons are usually task-based and centred around practical functions.
During each lesson, we will always work on four different skills such as speaking, listening, reading and writing, using a great variety of teaching materials reflecting real-life situations.

MY COURSES WILL AIM AT:

– Improving your listening and conversation skills
– Explaining grammar rules
– Introducing new vocabulary using specific learning methods
– Enhancing your writing, speaking and listening skills

LANGUAGE:

I have learnt English, Spanish and I am currently learning Italian and Russian, so I perfectly understand how it feels to learn a new language and the difficulties that one can come across, especially when that language isn't using the same alphabet as your mother tongue.

EXPERIENCE:

I have taught French to people from Europe, Commonwealth, Russia, Colombia, Iran, Sri Lanka, Maldives, South Africa, Syria, Lebanon, Algeria, Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, and China, and among them, some were students, teachers, analysts, brokers, nurses, doctors, lawyers, singers, business owners, writers, actors, ambassadors, personal trainers, interior designers, architects, TV and movie producers...

In this class you'll learn how to move on stage, how to be confident with public speaking, how to use your creativity and your imagination to embody different characters. I've designed this class for it to mix necessary theatre technical skills such as placement, voices etc with fun acting activities ranging from improvisation to classical plays.It can also be adapted to any ages or level of acting. If the class is on webcam, I will design the class for it to be inventive and create a theme for each of the meetings.

I specialise in tutoring French and/or English for school just as well for higher education levels or different age groups. As a native speaker in both languages and as a linguaphile who took interest in learning other languages such as Spanish and Arabic, I am aware of the struggles that might come with attempting to learn a new language. For my students, I would start off by evaluating where they are at in terms of their level of speaking just as well as writing, in order to know what to work on and what they've already mastered. I would provide homework, just as well as challenges to place them in real life situations where they would have to use their skills and knowledge.
