I specialize in teaching about Music and how to play the Guitar. In class, I always make an effort to understand what are the goals and interests of all students, as well as their skills. This way we can address the issues at hand more effectively and make sure the student never loses his/her interest and focus in music and his/her instrument. I believe that an honest and friendly relationship between teacher and student is essential for this exchange of ideas to happen more clearly and fluently, so I do my best to make everyone feel comfortable enough to share their thoughts freely. I offer good and personalized classes. This means that there will be special care with your interest in music and guitar, all basic skills will be worked upon and strengthened, all specific requests and ideas will be addressed, both improvisation and interpretation can be developed, and exploring potential, achieving goals and having fun are main priorities. Enthusiastic guitar tutor and performer. I started playing classical guitar at the age of 6, and my formal musical education began at the age of 9 when I started attending a music school in Croatia. After 6 years of primary school, I continued studying classical guitar at a secondary music school in Varazdin, Croatia. During that period I received training in classical harmony, Counterpoint (polyphony), Solfeggio, Music history and gained plenty of experience in orchestral playing and choral singing. I decided to continue my musical education in Manchester where I was studying for an undergraduate degree at the Royal Northern College of Music and currently I am studying at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague. As a performing guitarist, I have successfully participated and won prizes in a number of international competitions in the UK, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Hercegovina. Although my studies are primarily related to classical music, I am comfortable playing and performing music in a range of other styles and genres. I am also experienced with mandolin and Croatian folk instrument called tamburitza.

I teach electric and acoustic guitar in many guitar based genres of music, including every type of rock music and pop music, blues and funk, etc. Lessons I offer are tailored to the specific needs and abilities of each individual student. If you are a beginner and don't have all the equipment, don't worry, I own several guitars, two guitar amplifiers and many effect pedals, so even if you don't have all the equipment yourself we can have a fully productive lesson at my home. I have almost 20 years of experience in playing the guitar and great knowledge of the specifics of guitar playing in each individual genre that I am teaching. Whatever you wish to play, you will be able to master during lessons with me.

Hey there! I'am Nico. I am 21 years old and I play flamenco guitar. I have learned flamenco from different teachers. With over 15 years of teaching experience, I offer private guitar lessons in many styles for all ages and all levels. I am also an active performer, mostly performing my own singer-songwriter music in the folk-rock genre. Classes are offered in English, Dutch and German. I am from Los Angeles originally where I received my degree in music with a minor in Classical Guitar from California State University, Northridge. I have been playing guitar since I was 11 years old. Back in those days, I was mostly inspired by rock music, learning to play by ear by listening to the radio. Later, I went to Conservatory and studied classical music, therefore learning in a more structured way. This gives me a unique approach to teaching, because I understand playing by ear and feeling, as well as having a background in music theory. It is a mix of these two worlds that I offer in my lessons. In this way, my students progress quickly while having a basis of how music works so that they can continue to grow for endless years to come. My approach to teaching is to get lasting results for the students and to make sure they have a great time. The lessons are light and joyful, as music should be. I work hard to make sure my students experience the rewards of reaching new plateaus regularly as they progress. It is also important to me that my students play songs/pieces that they enjoy playing. We will discuss your musical tastes, or work to discover the musical tastes of your child. I can read musical notes, but I mainly play by ear (which can be learned too!). I am into music theory and how it helps to understand what one hears and plays.
