Hello everyone, My name is Gioia and I am a young stylist graduated from La Cambre. I teach sewing and textile design classes individually or in small groups. Whether you are a beginner or a more advanced level I invite you in my workshop to learn and create together. For those wishing to prepare for the exam at La Cambre or the Antwerp Academy, we will develop some useful techniques for your porolio. As a qualified and experienced fashion designer, I can teach you how to design clothing by hand and on CAD software such as Adobe Illustrator. I can teach you how to draw clothing in detail, draw the figure with a face, hands and feet and how to colour in your designs with shading. I can also teach you to create your Technical Drawings and how to do fabric selections for your designs.

Stylist graduated from Mod'art International in Paris, I offer fashion illustration courses as well as styling courses in French and English. The courses are for skill levels: beginners - intermediate. If you are new to the world of art as well as fashion, don't feel intimidated! We break everything down very slowly, taking things step by step. If you are more experienced we can build a portfolio and develop a collection. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are the industry standard software for graphics and fashion. I am a graphic and textile designer with over 15 years experience in the industry. In this classe you will be able to learn a costumized selection of what is important to dominate this software according to your level. In Photoshop we can talk about from basics as colour manipulation, organizing layers and effects, to more advanced techniques as non destructive maipulation, layer masks, pattern repeating and image retouching. In Illustrator the range will go from text editing and shape building/drawing to gradients/colour manipulation, pattern repeats and advanced brushes. Class can be customized to specific needs.

This is not a fixed lesson in fashion. Each lesson is designed to meet your specific and special needs. Besides covering the common technicals ( zips, trims and bones ), we'll also encourage you to experiment with some more creative techniques that we hope will inspire you! You will receive at least 2 hours of tuition in total depending on your booking & needs. **PLEASE READ FIRST** - LATEX MAKING SUPPLIES: We'll mail you enough latex to practice together with the glue applicators you'll need. **HOWEVER**, as certain additional items are inflammable, we aren't currently authorised to send them via post. An introduction to how to use food waste and store cupboard spices to experiment with natural dyes on the kitchen hob. Beginning with setting up the bath, during this class you will learn how to dye fabric at home so they can inject some colour into your old clothes, or turn dreary fabric scraps or bedsheets into fabric for a new project! This workshop gives a taster of some traditional ‘shibori’ (Japanese style tie dye) techniques. This class is suitable for complete beginners and adaptable for those with existing dye experience.
