Beginner/Intermediate Lessons for Saxophone (EN/FR/DE)

Welcome to the music theory course for beginners, intermediate and advanced! You'll learn the basics of reading notes, rhythms, and intervals, as well as advanced topics like scales and chords. My interactive lessons will help you develop your musical ear and your theoretical understanding, all in a friendly atmosphere and respecting the student's needs!

As a professional pianist with a passion for teaching, I have been teaching piano and music theory for 10 years now, at conservatories, music schools, and private lessons. I hold a performance license from the Rouen Conservatory and a master's degree in teaching from the Institut Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie de Namur. I adapt to each student's profile so that they can flourish musically!

Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁 I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,... After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw! Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc. Book a lesson and try! Violinist from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and the IMEP of Namur, I give violin lessons at all levels, all ages, from 5 years old for children. With several years of experience in teaching the violin, my lessons are for everyone, whatever your desires. I adapt my method according to the wish as well as the age of the student, and starting an instrument as an adult should not be a brake. Graduated in Musicology from La Sorbonne as well as from the ULB, I also offer support courses in Musical Training, History of Music and Analysis. An instrument lesson usually lasts one hour. If necessary, I can cut the time between Violin and Musical Training / History. My rates are 29/hour at my home (Schaerbeek), 35 if I travel.

Graduated with a Master's degree in clarinet from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, a Didactic Master's degree in clarinet and a didactic master's degree in musical training at the Royal Conservatory of Mons, I propose to give you lessons at all levels of clarinet and/or musical training. I also offer piano lessons to beginner students. I am available every day and move to your home at your convenience. Depending on the level and age of the students, the duration of my classes vary between 30 minutes, 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes.

Saxophone teacher graduated from the Trinity Laban Conservatory of Music and Dance in London, I offer saxophone, music theory and rhythm lessons. My learning of the instrument focuses on the development of a personal sound by learning techniques that I developed during my years in England.

I am an enthusiastic professional violinist and teacher. I can teach you classical violin, folk songs from Greece and Middle East, as well as your favourite pop tunes and tunes of almost any other music genre! Being well classically trained, I can help you build a solid violin technique and prepare you for giving your best during important music occasions such as exams, auditions, concerts etc. Also, being member of pop - oriental bands with concerts around Belgium, France and Greece, having played with several classical and contemporary music ensembles and orchestras, as well as coming from a family of musicians, my lessons are ideal for students who want to learn to be at ease when they eventually make music with others. :) All pieces can be taught either by ear, music scores or BOTH!! Teaching you basic and/or more advanced music theory to facilitate your violin learning if you don't know yet how to read and write music, can be easily done! My personal experience with music psychology and body movement techniques for musicians have enriched my knowledge and teaching skills. Extra attention is given during the lessons to not only help you build a strong and steadfast technique and develop your music ear, but also to acquire a confident presence and attitude for when you play for others! Always wanted to play the violin, but it never happened? Years of your violin not touched and now the will to pick it up again? You are never too old to learn it or to pick it up again! I am a violinist from Hungary - I have completed my Masters Degree in Teaching at the University of Debrecen, and in the meantime I have given violin lessons in various music schools in Hungary. I have played actively in various professional orchestras. From this year I started the Artistic Master's program at the Lemmens Institute. Since my first year at the university I teach private lessons, I have experience with both children and adults.
