Hi! I’m Ms. Ala — a fun, loving, and adventurous teacher who believes that learning should be exciting, meaningful, and full of discovery.

With over 10 years of experience working with children and teens ages 1 to 18, I’ve developed a hands-on, personalized teaching style that adapts to each student’s unique needs and learning style. Whether we're practicing phonics, tackling grammar, or diving into creative projects, I always aim to make lessons feel like an adventure — not a chore!

I'm deeply empathetic, patient, and focused on creating a safe, supportive space where my students feel confident to learn, explore, and express themselves. Every lesson is a chance to connect, grow, and have fun — together.

Opleiding

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in the Dominican Republic, where I developed a strong foundation in learning theory, child behavior, and educational assessment. I later pursued a Master’s degree in Child Development at the University of Haifa in Israel, an internationally recognized program that deepened my understanding of cognitive, emotional, and social development in children and adolescents across diverse cultural contexts.

I have over 10 years of experience working with children and teenagers in a wide range of settings, including classroom environments as a homeroom teacher, therapeutic spaces, after-school programs, and individualized tutoring sessions. My time as a homeroom teacher has given me deep insight into the daily academic and emotional needs of students, allowing me to build strong relationships, create structured yet engaging learning environments, and support both their educational and personal development.
