Hi!
My name is Bart and I have a passion for language and coaching/teaching. Having lived in several different countries I know how challenging it can be to learn a new language and to put it into practice. Especially Dutch, with it's unusual pronunciations and structures. During our lessons I will explain how to deal with such issues and show you that Dutch is actually quite a structured language and a lot less complicated that often suggested.

I am a positive and optimistic person and this is also how I teach. I focus on how to do things right rather than wasting energy on why things are wrong. This creates a nice learning atmosphere and it also makes the course much more productive. I like to have an open communication with my students and encourage them to let me know what their difficulties are and what they want to improve.

When learning a language it is very important that you can quickly put into practice what you have learned. This naturally motivates you to learn more. For that reason I find it important that it is clear from the beginning what the language needs and wishes of my students are so we can work towards your goals in an effective way and make sure you are able to apply what you have learned as soon as possible.

The reason why I like teaching so much is because I enjoy showing people what they are capable of and to help them develop their skills. Another reason is that it allowes me to open the door for you to a great language and culture!

Are you a student, working or living in the Netherlands, or do you want to take online classes to learn the Dutch language? I am a patient, social and open minded tutor with a good capacity to empathize. And I have 10 years of experience in teaching Dutch! My name is Valérie. As a native speaker of French and Dutch and graduated as an interpreter of French / Dutch I have given with great pleasure French language courses for years to all different kinds of students.

The lessons are given in French and mainly focused on speaking the language. They are therefore practically oriented. The lessons are tailor-made because I follow the wishes and goals of the students during the first lesson.

I think it is important that the student experiences pleasure in learning the language, it is and stays a way of communication!

As a creative copy professional and philosopher, I see every lesson as an experiment. To keep us both on the edge of our seats, I continuously explore new ways of teaching that fit your specific needs. Feel tempted? Book your first lesson and get one extra!

Doubts? Dutch might feel a little violent to a delicate mouth in the beginning. But once you get passed that, a sea of inspiring and quirky new ways to express yourself will open up. To help you move beyond that hump, I will adjust my lessons to your personal passions and interests, including your specific reasons to speak and/or write in this language right now.

Two kids that are roughly the same level can share one webcam lesson of one-hour minimum. Keep in mind that we will stay online for at least 15 minutes extra, as young ones will need at least two 5 minute breaks.

Research shows that 95% of dyslexic people benefit from good language education. Spelling and grammar in particular are not that difficult to learn. I graduated from the Ir. Lely Lyceum last year and am currently studying Business Administration at the Vrije Universiteit. In addition to my studies, I enjoy tutoring primary and secondary school students.

I work at an international language school and I teach Dutch to mainly expats.
My focus is on pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. It is important for language proficiency to keep practicing regularly, which is why I give homework after the lesson. By mainly speaking and doing role plays, I get a lot out of my students and they gain more confidence in speaking the language.

My approach to teaching is to make things fun. In that emotional state learning is easiest. Of course I have my Epic Grammar Trilogy, but we'll focus on speaking and pronunciation first. The dutch G is my favourite letter to pronounce; hopefully you'll sound like an espresso machine too in the foreseeable future!
