Trusted teacher: I am a flexible mathematics teacher and tutor, willing to either: - support methods and approaches covered in school to help improve your speed of progress and mastery, or to address misconceptions or gaps in knowledge due to time off of school - tutor using alternative methods and approaches to those covered in class to provide a different perspective on a topic (different teachers have different ways of approaching a topic that benefit different learners) During a tutoring session, I am to either: - provide bespoke, planned, and resourced tutoring on a topic (to maximise mastery of that topic) - provide support in exam preparation, including how to approach exam questions, exam strategy, and topics that are easiest for the learner to make the most improvement on - provide support and confidence-boosting when attempting maths questions and homework (both paper-based and on digital homework media, such as Sparx) I consider myself to be friendly and adaptive, and willing to adapt my way of teaching to best support the learner. Physics: The physics portion of the class will cover topics such as motion, forces, energy, waves, and electromagnetism. Students will learn to analyze physical systems, solve problems using mathematical models, and develop a deep understanding of fundamental physical concepts. Maths: The maths portion of the class will cover topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Students will learn to apply mathematical concepts to solve complex problems, develop critical thinking and logical reasoning skills, and gain a solid foundation for further study in maths-related fields. Coding: The coding portion of the class will cover fundamental programming concepts, data structures, algorithms, and software development best practices. Students will learn to write code in Fortran and Python. Trusted teacher: Friendly and individualist AQA, A Level Psychology/ general Psychology (preferably 1st years) tutoring in Bath/Exeter or online (Zoom) My approach is very individualistic- some students prefer going through exam questions and some prefer lessons on specific topics. I tend to go over the topic that the student would like to go through, make sure they fully understand and then finish with some assisted exam questions as this, in my personal experience, is what will make a difference. I’m more than happy to go over work a student has completed in ‘class’ if the understanding isn’t there, and try and make lessons as interesting and enjoyable as possible! For A level, my experience is with AQA, however, I can also tutor from other exam boards For university courses, please get in touch and we can discuss which modules you require tuition for. I am currently in my 3rd year at the University of Exeter, and am due to graduate in December 2024. I study Msci Applied, Clinical, Psychology). I took A-Levels in Psychology (A), Sociology (A), Music (C) and Maths in Context (B). After university, I hope to train to become a Clinical Psychologist. I have experience in tutoring (3 years) in all areas of psychology, including statistics. Moreover, tutoring experience in essay writing and short answer exam questions & am more than happy to give studying advice (note that this advice is entirely my own opinion, from my experience, therefore, it may not work for everyone). 3+ years of experience working with and supporting vulnerable adults and children.
