I teach Czech to foreigners at all levels, from complete beginners to advanced students. I have been teaching Czech for six years, working with private students as well as language schools, both in person and online.
I do not follow one fixed approach. Each class is adjusted to what the student actually needs. We can focus on grammar and structure, prepare for exams, or spend most of the time speaking and working on confidence in real situations. Some students want a clear system and homework, others mainly want conversation and correction. Both are fine.
I have a lot of experience preparing students for the A2 exam for permanent residence and the B1 exam for Czech citizenship. We work with the exam format, typical tasks, and the language you actually need to pass, not just theory.
Languages are part of my everyday work. My native language is Slovenian. I have lived in the Czech Republic for ten years, studied Bohemistics at university, and I also translate books from Czech to Slovenian. This helps me explain Czech grammar clearly and in a way that makes sense to learners.
ful Slavic langauge
I teach Slovenian to foreigners and heritage learners at different levels, from beginners to advanced students. Slovenian is my native language, and I have always been very close to it, both personally and professionally.
Although I do not currently live in Slovenia, I work with the language every day. I translate literature into Slovenian, which keeps me closely connected to how the language is actually used, not only in textbooks but in real, living contexts. This also strongly influences how I teach.
My lessons are adapted to the student, not the other way around. We can focus on grammar and structure, build vocabulary step by step, or mainly work on speaking and understanding. Some students want a clear system and explanations, others prefer conversation with correction and guidance. The approach depends on your goals.
I pay a lot of attention to clarity and precision, especially with grammar, which can be challenging in Slovenian. At the same time, I aim to make the language feel natural and usable, not abstract.
