My approach adapts to each student’s needs, whether that involves clarifying difficult topics, assisting with homework, practicing exam questions, or refining exam techniques. A typical lesson begins with assessing the student’s current understanding, followed by targeted explanation using diagrams and examples. We then work on exercises or past papers to reinforce learning and develop exam skills. I adjust the pace and focus depending on goals and progress. I am patient, kind, and skilled at motivating students by instilling curiosity and wonder in biology and science. My passion for the subject drives me to teach in a way that encourages genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation. I tailor my teaching methods to each student’s learning style and strategies. I primarily teach middle school, IGCSE, and IB students. Having studied IGCSE and IB biology myself, I understand these curricula well. I also support other systems such as A Level and AP. My own teaching experience is with the Scottish National 5 biology curriculum, where all my students passed their exams and half gained As.
