The ability to order, review and put together a computer that is designed to your needs is freedom that saves you money and allows you to know how to quickly fix a problem when it happens.
Additionally, the production of a pc represents a huge cost to the environment, many people will just throw their old pc or laptop away. With some fairly simple tricks, it is easy to keep that old pc going for a few extra years, and when it fails, it still has many parts that can be repurposed.
I have been scavenging parts and building pcs for years now and am willing to share some of this knowledge to anyone who is looking to learn more about how a pc fits together and what to think of when building or repairing it. The scope of instruction will basically be how to open your box, replace parts and when to know to replace parts, put parts together, how to know what a part is and how to know which parts fit together AND how to do all this without breaking anything.
I will probably fill in some basics on what the parts do, but this really isn't as important as knowing where each part goes. To put it briefly - the instruction is practical.
