I offer personalized classical and electric guitar lessons for adults and children of all levels, from complete beginners to more advanced students.
Lessons are adapted to each student’s goals, musical interests and pace of learning. Whether you would like to build strong technical foundations, improve your musicality, learn your favorite songs, develop improvisation skills or prepare for ABRSM guitar exams (100% success rate), lessons are designed to combine progress with enjoyment and creativity.
My teaching approach combines solid technical work with practical music-making in a supportive and motivating atmosphere. Lessons may include technique, posture, rhythm, chords, improvisation, ear training, reading notation and tablature, music theory and repertoire development.
As a professional jazz musician, composer and performer with more than 20 years of teaching experience in music schools and private lessons, including in Switzerland, I aim to help students not only improve technically but also develop confidence and genuine enjoyment in playing music.
Lessons are available in English, German and Turkish.

Beginners are very welcome - no previous musical experience is required.
If you do not yet own a guitar, I can also help you choose a suitable instrument according to your level, musical interests and budget. In some cases, it may also be possible to borrow an instrument temporarily for the first lessons.
Lessons are adapted individually for each student and can focus on classical, jazz, rock, blues, pop or contemporary repertoire depending on your interests and goals.
I aim to create a positive, supportive and motivating atmosphere where students feel comfortable progressing at their own pace while enjoying the learning process.

My name is Yalçın. I am a professional guitar teacher, jazz musician, composer and performer with more than 20 years of teaching experience in music schools and private lessons, including in Switzerland.
I hold a Master’s degree in Jazz and Classical Guitar and teach classical guitar, electric guitar, ukulele and bass to both adults and children, from complete beginners to more advanced students.
Alongside teaching, I continue to actively develop my career as a musician and composer, which allows me to bring both academic knowledge and real performance experience into my lessons.
I believe music education should combine discipline, creativity and enjoyment. My goal is to create a positive, motivating and supportive atmosphere where students can progress confidently at their own pace while developing both technical skills and musical expression.
I teach in English, German and Turkish.

EVERY CHILD CAN! Learning to play the guitar according to the Suzuki method is more than just music! We learn by the approach of the "Mother Tongue", playing and having fun. Children - from the age of 3 - develop, among other things, listening, memory, musical sense, concentration, discipline, respect. Collective workshops stimulate learning, and children learn to play together.
The "Suzuki Triangle", teacher, parent, student, reinforces the parental-child bond. Parents learn with their child and participate in lessons.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

-Study of various playing techniques, chords, harmony, music of your choice, rhythm, with reading of tablature, teaching structured around the repertoire you like, technique of developing the musical ear
- Discovery of the neck, notes and basic positions of open chords
- Left / right hand coordination and rhythm exercises for the right hand
- Learning of different pieces of your choice

- As our teacher is also a singing teacher, it is possible to combine the two disciplines: guitar + vocal instrument, and to work on synchronization, style and accuracy.
