My goal is to discover the beauty of the cello, for anyone of any age, and at any level! I am already looking forward to meeting you and I hope we can share together in music! Renting a cello can be seen as a complex task, but finding a cello to rent is actually very simple! I can also help with research. I started playing the cello at 5 and a half years old. I obtained my certificate at the Conservatory of Music of Geneva in 2019 and my Bachelor of Arts at the Haute École de Musique in 2022. I obtained my Master of Pedagogy in June 2024.

I am a young experienced and enthusiastic cello teacher. In the past few years, I have been teaching in the UK at the Royal College of Music Junior Department in London, in primary schools, and privately. I am new to Geneva and I have just started my new teaching job at Ecolint, International School of Geneva. I teach children age 5-10, teenagers and adults. My teaching approach is to give the passion for music while building technical abilities and confidence. Discipline is important, and so is fun ! In the past, I have created cello ensembles for young children and I hope to be able to develop the same teaching outfit in Geneva as I had in London. I can teach in English or in French, the ABC system or the Do-Re-Mi system, and work towards various goals including ABRSM exams, concerts, etc. I am fluent in English as I was in London for over 10 years and French is my native language. Student at the Haute École de Musique de Genève and graduate of the Lyon Conservatory, I offer home lessons for all ages and all levels, in Geneva and its surroundings (TPG). The training is adapted according to the student's objectives, and the repertoire according to their tastes. Notions of harmony are cultivated through play thanks to pieces with accompaniment. Having studied music at the Massenet Conservatory in Saint-Étienne (France) and through the Electroacoustics minor at Concordia, I have 18 years of experience with the instrument and 10 years of orchestral practice. The courses aim to support the instrumentalist in their development, as well as in their first steps, including the basics of music theory and ear training. As a graduate student at Concordia University and a cellist at the Orchester Symphonique de l'Isle, I offer cello lessons for beginner and intermediate players. Hello! I've been teaching continuously for over 10 years, and I'd like to explain what you can expect from a class with me. Personalized approach: The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on. Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor. Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." I avoid approaches obsessed with reading sheet music without memorizing, listening, or understanding what is being played. I want you to own your performance and make artistic decisions. Warning! I might even make you sing. No stylistic barriers: Thanks to my training in Jazz and Modern Music, I give equal importance to all genres. I worked in music schools, very good orchestras and i regularely have concerts, also in chamber music. Occasionally i also play in pop groups/orchestras. My teaching methodology focuses on creating a friendly and relaxed environment (which does not mean undemanding!) in which students feel confident to express their own ideas and worries.
