Hello Everyone! My name is Thomas and I’m a professional English teacher. I’ve been a teacher at Laurus International School of Science (Cambridge School) for the last 7 years and teaching different students who had various goals for an additional 6 years: Children, Conversational English, preparation for CELA (Cambridge English Language Assessment). Currently teaching at Sakura International School.

I hold a University degree in Accounting, but have a passion for teaching Kindergarten, Elementary, and College Students.

I hope that I can assist you in learning English, paying great attention to your needs, questions and doubts. I will focus on aspects that are important for you, so that you can apply your new knowledge right away!

I am an American from San Diego, California. I started living in Japan in 2008. I started teaching college students in 2011. I transitioned to teaching Kindergarten and Elementary students, but I am experienced to teach College students also. I'm married to a wonderful Japanese woman and recently just purchased a new home. I love teaching and especially seeing the outcome of students learning English. (American Accent)

Being at a native level for French and English and with a love of languages (I have learnt Japanese at the JLPT N1 level, Korean and Spanish at an intermediate level, as well as Mandarin at a conversational level), I understand the challenges of learning a new languages.
Having contributed to making a number of people more at ease in conversations, it would be my pleasure to assist you as well.

I can give lessons for any level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and can answer your interrogations about the language. Depending on your needs, we can set up more formal lessons or have a more casual approach.

The class can be fully in French or English, but if you prefer, explanations can be given in Japanese as well.

My goal is to help Japanese Native speakers speak English more fluently and naturally. My class will be a relax and safe environment, we will have mostly regular English conversations to improve your listening and speaking skills.

Individualised lessons given by a certified English teacher. The lessons will help you reach your target and improve your language skills. Do you either need English for school, leisure or your new job? No problems, the teacher will make sure that you will learn efficiently English and at your rhythm. If you wish to work on a specific topic in literature or in business, don’t hesitate to let me know. You also have the possibility to work on grammar/ pronunciation/ reading/ writing and follow a program for your examinations (IELTS, British examinations...).
