Whatever your level might be, from complete beginner to bachelor student in distress, if you thirst for ancient languages, the only key to approach humanities in depth, the best way to understand the History of Western Civilisation, the origin of most Western European languages and the basis of the terminology of no less than Literature, Philosophy, Medecine and Law, this class is for you. Besides, if you were not disturbed by the length of the latter sentence, you might even have predispositions ;)

A PhD student, I have been teaching Latin and Greek from middle schools to Bachelor's Degree, both in secondary schools and at University (Reading, UK). I am able to provide my students with traditional language courses, or preparations for national exams, but I can also make the matter more appealing and cultural by linking the subject to nowadays society and show in which measure Latin and Greek are still part of everyday's life.

In my third year of the history faculty at the Jean Moulin Lyon III University, I plan to enroll in a master's degree in medieval history. I want to write a research paper on the French and the Mongols in the 13th century. I would like to go on to write a thesis on the theme of Mongol incursions into Japan (1274 and 1281).
The sessions will aim to deepen or discover concepts about a period. I am comfortable with the era: medieval (especially from the 12th-13th century), modern (it all depends on the region and the century) as well as prehistory.
I am able to establish a progression curve, as well as adapt the lessons according to the need or simply in relation to the expectations of the student. If necessary, repetitions and accentuations on knowledge can take place.
Since I am not yet at the apotheosis of my studies, I will only offer these services to beginners or students (up to high school or first year of history school at the "maximum").
I can also offer help for tests related to the history dissertation or text commentaries, very famous and predominant exercises in studies in the history faculty.

History is a subject often considered uninteresting. But I try to design my course according to your needs, your difficulties and even facilities in order to create a course in which you will flourish.
Also, I am a student in History and therefore I can help you with the methodology and recommend several books to deepen your subjects.

The course will be divided according to the periods:

First, Ancient Rome, from Romulus to the death of Nero where we will study the different aspects of Roman life and its politics. We will also study Ancient Greece, also considered the cradle of history with its mythology, daily life and the wars that marked it.
The Middle Ages will be studied from the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476. We will go through Clovis, religion but also royalty.
Then, we will study the modern era with plague epidemics, life under the old Regime and the different kings as well as their life at court without forgetting the wars of religion and absolutist reigns as well as the History of the English Revolutions .
Finally, the contemporary era (where I am most comfortable), where we will study the Catholic Church, the working world but also the global aspects of this period. We will also focus on the two world wars with the civilian impacts they had.

If you want a course on the HGGSP, we will follow the program according to the pace you study in class.
I would also like to train you orally, by doing some courses, by teaching you to master a PowerPoint and finally by teaching you the methodology of the dissertation, the presentation, the text commentary and finally the bibliography.

Holder of a Literary Baccalaureate with honors, a Bi-license 2 in History and Political Science from the University of Paris I - Panthéon Sorbonne, I then obtained a License 3 and a Master in Contemporary History at the University of Brittany -South (Lorient). This master's degree being devoted to a dissertation on contemporary religious history (60p, 14/20), I was then selected for an Erasmus year at the University of Friborg to specialize in religious sociology.

I have proven experience as a facilitator, educator and teacher (private lessons and classes), for several years. Beyond my studies, I constantly read new books and articles because in addition to History, I am also passionate about genealogy, political news and the human sciences in general. Généralement, un cours dure entre 1 heure et 2 heures, temps durant lequel je vous présente, via un diaporama, une période historique (découpage ajustable selon vos objectifs) de manière plus ou moins approfondie (variable également en fonction de vos objectifs).
Aussi, je tiens toujours à ce que les cours soient le plus interactifs et pédagogiques possibles.
