I was born in Istanbul in 1983. I started teaching Turkish while studying Turkish Language and Literature at university. I worked in a language school and at universities. I have been teaching Turkish professionally for more than 16 years. I also taught Turkish for 5 years when I was a university student. In 2018, I obtained a TESOL certificate and also began teaching English.

I teach both adults and children. Creating a comfortable learning environment for my students is one of my top priorities. If you would like to learn Turkish or English in a consistent and structured way, I would be happy to work with you.

I hold firmly to two main principles: creating a comfortable space for learning and building an encouraging atmosphere.

My students often describe me as patient, positive, and well-organised. Over time, I’ve found my own way of making Turkish feel easier, more enjoyable, and more practical to learn.

I love shaping each lesson around my students’ interests, needs, and learning styles. I adapt my teaching to the needs of students with special conditions, such as ADHD and OCD.

In my lessons, you’ll never feel afraid of making mistakes. Before long, you’ll start noticing them on your own and correcting yourself naturally.

Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid understanding of grammar, as Turkish has a very different structure.

I use the course book set prepared by Istanbul University. It follows a strategic approach to learning Turkish and includes all language skills—reading, grammar, writing, listening, watching, and speaking—from A1 to C2. All of these skills are essential for conversation.

I teach English for the A1 and A2 levels.

The workbook offers many exercises for homework or revision, and I support the book with my own authentic materials. I also use an interactive board that you can view anytime, and you can edit it as well. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons.

I speak English well, and a bit of Italian, and I have also studied Persian and German grammar. I am interested in literature.

Comencé a enseñar y dar clases particulares de español a una edad muy temprana ayudando a mis colegas de la escuela secundaria a obtener mejores puntajes y luego formalizo esta actividad mientras terminaba mis estudios universitarios.

Mi nombre es Dani y soy mexicano. Siempre pregunto a mis alumnos sobre sus objetivos específicos y su forma preferida de aprender un idioma. En mis clases me gusta adoptar un enfoque conversacional, pero esto depende completamente de las necesidades de mis alumnos. Utilizo diferentes libros con diferente material didáctico, en su mayoría Aula Plus y Bitacora. También trato de practicar todas las habilidades: hablar, escribir y escuchar. Si el alumno lo desea, dejo deberes, que corrijo durante la semana anterior a la próxima lección, para que podamos aprovechar al máximo el tiempo de clase. Comparto una palabra o frase de la semana con mis alumnos para construir un vocabulario útil. Enseñar es mi pasión. Me siento motivado por el progreso de mis alumnos, que creo que también los mantiene motivados. El alemán y el español son mis idiomas nativos y hablo inglés con fluidez, también hablo holandés con fluidez (con un poco de acento). Por lo tanto, puedo explicar conceptos en todos estos idiomas. Sin embargo, prefiero hablar español tanto como sea posible, también para las lecciones de principiantes, porque creo que la gente aprende mejor el idioma de esa manera.

Tengo un certificado FPELE: Formación de Profesores de Español como Lengua Extranjera. Y he enseñado de nivel A1 a B2 en un instituto de idiomas en España.

Tomarse el tiempo para practicar el idioma que está aprendiendo es crucial para el desarrollo de su vocabulario activo. Esto le permitirá comunicarse con mayor fluidez y confianza.
Puede sugerir temas o discutir una variedad de temas como pasatiempos y pasiones, trabajo y viajes o cualquier cosa en la que le gustaría trabajar. A lo largo de la clase, haré un seguimiento de todo el vocabulario con el que no estabas familiarizado y lo repasaré contigo, además de enviarte la lista al final de la clase, para realizar un seguimiento de las palabras y expresiones a medida que las encuentres.
Tengo varios juegos que considero muy adecuados para aprender vocabulario. Estos añadirán un toque divertido al proceso de aprendizaje.

In my classroom, I teach the Arabic language to non-native students using the curriculum "Al-Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayk," which is one of the best curricula for teaching Arabic to non-Arabs. This curriculum is distinguished by its smooth and gradual approach, helping students learn the language naturally and enjoyably.

I begin the lesson by introducing the topic in an engaging way, using pictures and audio clips to capture the students’ attention. Then, I ask them to read aloud to improve their pronunciation and accustom them to fluent reading. After that, we discuss meanings and synonyms to deepen their understanding of the text.

In every session, I provide opportunities for students to speak in Arabic by asking them to form sentences and engage in small conversations to apply what they have learned. I also use written and practical exercises to reinforce grammar and vocabulary.
