I am specialized (>5 years of experience) in tutoring math for school (any level, but preferably higher level), including competitive exams such as the SAT, GRE, GMAT, and the IIT-JEE.

This class is aimed to train
1) high-school students undergoing VWO or an IB curriculum, who are having problems following math at school or university,
2) Anyone who wishes to take the VWO Math-A/B/C entrance examinations by Boswell or CCVX and wants to train for that.

Personally, I am currently working as a Quantitative Researcher of stock markets, and therefore analytical math is also a part of my job.

The classes could be rigorous or lenient depending on the student. There will be periodic homework and I'll make sure that the student achieves her/his desired goals.

Uw kind heeft moeite met wiskunde, fysica, chemie of natuurwetenschappen. Het kan de leerstof niet verwerken en u wilt hier iets aan doen.

Als leraar (ingenieur met getuigschrift van pedagogische bekwaamheid) geef ik reeds 25 jaar wiskunde, fysica en chemie en natuurwetenschappen in het secundair onderwijs.
Ik ben zelfstandig leraar in bijberoep en erkend door de Vlaamse Gemeenschap.
Door mijn ervaring en inlevingsvermogen kan ik de abstracte terminologie en oefeningen waar uw kind niets van begrijpt toch verstaanbaar maken.

Ik geef bijles aan leerlingen van het secundair onderwijs tot studenten hoger onderwijs. Van Pythagoras tot tweedegraadsvergelijkingen, logaritmische en exponentiële functies, limieten, afgeleiden, integralen, ... Alles is mogelijk!

Studenten die zich voorbereiden op de examencommissie ondervinden vaak problemen bij de vakken wiskunde, chemie of fysica. Door een intensieve begeleiding kan ik de slaagkansen sterk verhogen. Ik heb erg veel ervaring met de onlinecursus van "Inzicht" , Geogebra, het interpreteren van vakfiches, ... De bijlessen kunnen plaatsvinden zowel op werkdagen als in het weekend.

Leerlingen met dyscalculie worden geremediëerd door het inoefenen van de leerstof, gebruik makend van tips, ezelsbruggetjes en veel geduld. De ervaring leert dat de manier van wiskundig denken bij dyscalculie anders is en daarom een meer gestructureerde, stap per stap-aanpak vergt.

De bijlessen worden elke dag online via Zoom gegeven. Zoom beschikt over een handig online bord waarop we tegelijk kunnen schrijven. Het is net alsof we naast elkaar zitten en op hetzelfde blad schrijven.
Indien u bijles wenst, dient u de Zoom app te downloaden en mij het email adres dat u daaraan koppelt door te sturen.

In this course I will prepare you for the IMAT (Italian medical admission test) which happens every year and is the only way to get access to the English language medicine programme in public universities in Italy.

I will help you with the four scientific disciplines (math, physics, biology, chemistry) as well as the critical reasoning and general knowledge aspect. I will also prepare you with real-life exam scenarios in order to get used to the time limit and other constraints.

Hulp nodig bij aardrijkskunde, biologie of chemie? Als burgerlijk ingenieur, 33, help ik je graag verder! Bijleren op jouw tempo en met veel voorbeelden om de leerstof te verduidelijken. Ik heb al jaren ervaring in het leren van eenvoudige en complexe leerstof.

De lessen verlopen als volgt. Eerst gaan we samen op zoek naar de grootste struikelblokken van de student. Deze kunnen gerelateerd zijn aan de leerstof als aan de studiemethode. Vanaf daar werk ik verder op het tempo van de student en moedig ik hen aan zoveel mogelijk vragen te stellen. Ik geef ook tips en trucs, en verbeter hun werkwijze waar nodig. Tijdens de les geef ik veel voorbeelden om de leerstof interessanter te maken en lossen we samen oefeningen op. Eens oefenen uit de les beheerste, ik nog uitdagende oefeningen om ook te testen op het diepere begrip van de leerstof. Op die manier probeer ik de student optimaal voor te bereiden op zijn/haar toets van examen.

Leren moet echter ook aangenaam zijn. Daarom streef ik altijd naar een band met de student door een spontane en positieve aanpak. Verder ben ik ook heel geduldig. Dit alles om de problemen op te lossen en te verbeteren.

I also have more than 3 years of experience in teaching and guiding standardized tests such as the GRE and SAT. The TU Delft Aerospace Engineering Bachelor is one of the most prestigious bachelor programmes the Netherlands has to offer. Mijn naam is Arjen, en geef bijles en examentraining in wiskunde en natuurkunde voor bovenbouwleerlingen in het middelbaar onderwijs. Met een afgeronde studie Aerospace Engineering help ik leerlingen niet alleen met het oplossen van opgaven, maar vooral met het begrijpen van het "waarom" achter de theorie.

Veel leerlingen lopen vast omdat ze formules proberen toe te passen zonder echt te begrijpen waarom ze werken. Daarom begin ik meestal met een korte diagnose: waar zit het echte knelpunt? Vanuit daar werken we stap voor stap aan structuur en begrip, zodat leerlingen leren hoe ze een probleem kunnen analyseren voordat ze het oplossen. Hierdoor krijgt je zelfvertrouwen een boost, waardoor je zelfstandiger wordt met de stof en jouw progressie zich vertaalt naar de lange termijn.

In mijn uitleg gebruik ik regelmatig voorbeelden uit techniek en engineering. Door abstracte theorie te koppelen aan echte toepassingen wordt duidelijker waar de wiskunde of natuurkunde vandaan komt en waarvoor het nodig is, en valt het kwartje vaak ineens.
