TECHNOLOGIES FOR LEARNING.

Hey,

My name is Laurie and I am an independent FLE teacher, graduated in French and Romance languages and literature since 2012. I have five years of experience under my belt (abroad and in Belgium). I have created a teaching method for online courses.

The course includes:
-The material (articles, videos, exercises from images and texts, grammatical theory, links to the exercises...). I use Google Doc so it's best to have a Gmail address to access it.
-The correction of exercises outside of class (the written expressions are corrected outside of class, or with the student, according to his needs).
-Access to an application (free) to study vocabulary on your smartphone.
-A vocabulary sheet - pronunciation - grammar / conjugation, sent after each course.
-If necessary, a vocabulary recording (for beginners).
-The realization of online exercises and tests from the sent vocabulary sheets.
-Motivation, laughter, good mood :-)

My method:
- It's based on speaking.
-For grammar I use a question/answer method (learned during the training at the CERAN center).
-We work on pronunciation with the verbotonal method (exercises for setting your voice, for rhythm, etc.). I might even make you sing! :-)
-Everything goes through the spoken word before the written word, but I clearly adapt to the needs of the students.
-The course is a little different for children and adolescents: I use interactive games and cards via webcam.

I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments.
Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.

In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. In this Latin course, I offer "Common Entrance at 13+" training (including scholarship papers) for those students who have studied Latin for one or two years, and would like to revise, do translations and read from fun books such as Minimus or So you really want to learn Latin. Plenty of cultural stories and mythology in the mix, besides battles and august men. A basic understanding of grammar (or willingness to learn) expected.
