Leer jouw creatieve ideeën vertalen naar muziek! Tijdens deze lessen leer je compositietechnieken (klassiek of pop/jazz, enz.), om je eigen composities te maken en/of te verbeteren. Technieken waarmee je jouw muzikale ideeën een stem kunt geven! Jouw melodieën voor verschillende bezettingen, bijvoorbeeld: strijkers, houtblazers, koperblazers, percussie, jazz, pop/rock of verschillende combinaties.

Er is ook de mogelijkheid om te leren over Harmonie en Keyboard Voicings (akkoorden/harmonie en akkoordmelodie). Deze methoden kunnen in de praktijk worden gebracht met Harmonievoortgangen (ook met je eigen composities/liedjes, enz.), om te zien hoe Harmonie werkt met het concept van Functionele Harmonie en verder.

We bespreken waar je muzikale voorkeur ligt en welke kant we op gaan. In elk geval staat spelplezier voorop!

De lessen zijn voor alle niveaus en leeftijden. Online lessen is ook mogelijk via WhatsApp, etc.

Learn to translate your creative ideas into your music! During these lessons you learn composition techniques to create your own compositions or to improve them.

Techniques to help you to give a voice to your musical ideas! Your tunes for several instrumentations, e.g.: strings, woodwinds, brasses, percussion, jazz, pop/rock, or various combinations.

There's also the opportunity to learn about Harmony and Keyboard Voicings (chords/harmony and chord-melody). These methods can be put into practice with Harmony Progressions (also with your own compositions/tunes, etc.), to see how Harmony works with the concept of Functional Harmony and beyond..

We discuss what your musical preferences are and which way we go. In any case, fun is paramount!

Hoi, Ik ben afgestudeerd als Master of Music aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium te Den Haag en ik heb meerdere projecten als componist/arrangeur en bassist.
Naast een actief leven als muzikant, ben ik docent piano, basgitaar/contrabas, compositie en muziektheorie en ik geef daarin les aan leerlingen van alle niveaus en leeftijden.

Ik maakte arrangementen/composities voor o.a. het Fuse Ensemble (NL) en ik speel live met mijn Jazz Quintet, waar ik bas speel en componeer voor deze band en een cd heb opgenomen, ‘Vortex”.

Die en andere en nieuwe muzikale ervaringen inspireert me om verder te gaan voor verdere ontwikkeling als musicus en blijven mijn muzikale kennis doorgeven aan anderen.

ENGLISH:

Hi, I graduated as a Master of Music at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and I have several projects as a composer/arranger and bass player. Besides an active life as a musician, I teach piano, bass guitar/contrabass, composition and music theory to students of all levels and ages.

I made arrangements/compositions for, among others, the Fuse Ensemble (NL) and I play live with my Jazz Quintet, where I play bass and compose for this band, with which I recorded a CD, ‘Vortex’.

Those and other and new musical experiences inspire me to continue for further development as musician and to pass on my musical knowledge to others.

Regardless if you've never recorded your own music or if you've already experimented with Digital Audio Workstations (DAW), this course will teach you the basics of music composition and production. We will use both basic music theory and music production tricks to come up with and create your first song(s). From brainstorming song ideas on the piano or guitar, recording vocals and percussion or adding drums in the DAW, you will have complete freedom over your creativity.

Music has always been my biggest passion and I really enjoy sharing it with other people. My main music genres are pop, rnb, ballades, a bit of jazz, and soul.
I can read musical notes, but I mainly play by ear (which can be learned too!). I am into music theory and how it helps to understand what one hears and plays.
When it comes to singing, I know some basic techniques and can help with pitch, harmonizing, control, and feeling comfortable/confident when singing.

I am a student at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in the Early Music department, the beautiful and special instrument Harpsichord is my main subject and my passion. Anything that is part of a fundamental understanding of music, e.g. music theory, solfège, rhythm and piano will be taught. For me it is very important that the lessons is specifically made for the students regarding content and length. If asked violin and ballett can be taught as well. In that way the necessary aspects of a well rounded musician can be built up.
