I strive to provide the most comprehensive music lessons for students of all level. I balance my lessons between fun and progress, using various teaching methods, activities and technologies. With over 15 years experience, I have taught some 10,000 hours of one-to-one instrumental lessons. I have taught over 100 individual students ranging in age from four to 75+; from beginners to diploma-level, both amateurs and professionals.
Whether you have a child at the start of their musical journey, are an adult beginner or returning to music after a break, I can guide each student in the most effective and efficient way to reach the full potential.

I attended the Purcell School before moving to Germany where I studied for my Diploma. I gained a Bachelor of Music degree from City of Basel Music Academy in Switzerland and Master of Music degree from the University of Music & Performing Arts Stuttgart in Germany, graduating with the highest honours for both degrees. I successfully finished my Postgraduate Artist Diploma studies at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance.

I was born in South Korea and spent my childhood in Saudi Arabia and New Zealand. I first started learning piano at the age of five. I have fond memories of great lessons with inspiring teachers growing up shaping my creativity and musical understanding.
I am committed to aspiring students the same way I have experienced. I have taught students as young as four to adults. I love working with students of all levels and have also given cello classes at Amadeo Roldan Conservatory of Music in Havana, Cuba.
I attended Purcell School before moving to Germany where I studied for my Diploma. I gained a Bachelor of Music degree from the City of Basel Music Academy in Switzerland and a Master of Music degree from the University of Music & Performing Arts Stuttgart in Germany, graduating with the highest honors for both degrees. I successfully finished my Postgraduate Artist Diploma studies at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance.
I perform in prestigious venues including the Wigmore Hall, St James's Piccadilly, St Martin-in-the-Fields, National Portrait Gallery, King’s Place, the Royal Opera House, and the South Bank Centre. I regularly participate and perform in many other international music festivals all over the world. Catherine plays a wide range of repertoire, including classical, jazz, Latin & pop. My session works include recording at the Abbey Road Studios and RAK Studio London.
Having close ties to my Korean heritage, I have played in the Embassy Series at St Martin-in-the-Fields supported by the South Korean Embassy, Korean Music Festival in London as well as organizing fundraising concerts for European Alliance for Human Rights in North Korea.
My performing style, which follows a mix of German, Russian and French traditions, has been crafted by studying with many of today's leading cellists including Gustav Rivinius, Ivan Monighetti, Elena Cheah, Leonid Gorokhov, and Ulrich Voss. Further artistic development came from participating in masterclasses with highly acclaimed artists including David Geringas, Thomas Demenga, Ralph Kirshbaum, Eduard Brunner, Frans Helmerson, Matias de Oliveira Pinto, Walter Grimmer, Trolls Svane, Maria Kliegel, Stefan Litwin, and Zvi Carmeli. I have also been a selected musician for the Concordia Foundation and Music in Hospitals.

I followed a classical training for 13 years in clarinet and in lyrical singing for 5 years. I recently finished a 5-year training at the Paris Conservatory as a singer in contemporary music and I am now graduated from this training (jazz, soul, rnb, metal, rock, musical comedy, French song ...). This year I entered a Master of Music and Performance in London.
I move without problem and listen to the demand for songs to work.

I offer a tuition program that covers lectures designed for both beginners and more advanced players. I am a fully qualified guitar teacher with many years of experience as a session player and performer within the music industry in both live environment and in recording studios.
From music theory, arranging and composition as well as instrument related lessons my tuition program is adapted to the need and level of my student. I have been regularly teaching music theory, guitar, bass and saxophone in the UK to all level student since 2008.
I graduated from Tech Music School (London College of Music) in 2012 with a Popular Music Performance Degree on guitar and was classicly train on saxophone since the age of 5.

I am a classically trained professional pianist, with 16 years of teaching experiences of all ages and levels. I have many experiences in performing, competitions and accompanying singers/instrumentalists in concerts and in music exams. I am very familiar with the ABRSM exams and I have many successes with students passing ABRSM music (Grade 1-8, and Diploma) and theory exams (Grade 1-5) with very good grades. I can help you whether you are learning the piano for fun, or working towards exams. For beginners: songs, games, improvisation, creation. The links with song and rhythm are very important to have a healthy foundation. The musical notions are approached gradually by experience then by recognition. Reading and writing are brought about by creation and musical composition.

For the more experienced, polyphony and difficult passages can be approached with different tools, by awareness of harmony and melodic modes and polyrhythm. Sometimes it is enough to be aware of simplicity to overcome difficult passages.

I push to go further in the quality of the interpretation with simple means to better understand the music and thus allow more expressiveness and freedom.

I also offer improvisation, harmony,
lessons in musical ensembles, especially vocal polyphony for children, and lessons for specific needs, for example just intonation for singers or other instruments.

My name is Andrea, I have recently concluded my Artist's Master in keyboard instruments at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. My passion for music induced me to apply in the “Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria” in the course of Harpsichord as my principal study. After 10 years studying music and obtaining the diploma of “Grado de Enseñanzas Profesionales” in the conservatory, I developed a deep interest for Classical and Early music for keyboard instruments.

Discovering a historical and musical universe, I decided to continue my performing and theoretical investigation studying the bachelor course in keyboard instruments including piano, harpsichord and organ. I had the amazing opportunity to obtain a scholarship and study at the "Conservatorio Tartini di Trieste", in Italy. Working with exceptional teachers, i was able expand my linguistic abilities and cultural appreciation for the expressive diversity of Keyboard music. I have discovered the magnificent variety between many composers all around Europe and the distinct features and techniques they utilized to improvise and to embellish their pieces. During this artistic journey, i have had extraordinary performance experiences as a soloist including playing at the Parlament of Brussels and the National Gallery in Bosnia. Recently, living in London has inspired me to take part in a wide variety of exciting projects such as performing as a keyboard accompanist in Opera Scenes and with the Guildhall Baroque Orchestra in the Milton Court Concert Hall.

In my piano lessons, inspired by the Jacques-Dalcroze method, you'll enjoy a unique musical journey beyond just playing the piano and studying theory. With me, you’ll discover the countless ways the piano can express music. Through eurhythmics exercises, you'll not only play but also feel the music by moving with it, enhancing your musical knowledge and deepening your emotional connection to sound. If you're unsure about moving with the music, don’t worry—I’ll be there to guide you in finding a way to enjoy and love music. I've played the piano since I was five years old and hold a Bachelor’s degree from the Geneva Music University. More recently, I completed my MA in Interdisciplinary Dance Performance at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. While my teaching experience mainly focuses on children aged 5-10, I am also well-versed in providing music training and piano lessons for adults.
