I’m a native Greek speaker living in Athens, Greece. I teach Greek in a very practical, clear, and fun way so that speakers of other languages can start communicating in Greek within a short period of time. I can help you understand the sounds of the Greek language, teach you how to read and write, and of course explain the patterns of the Greek grammar so that you can form correct sentences on your own. I can teach Greek through English (I’m also an experienced teacher of English) or exclusively in Greek. I hope to see you soon!

Acerca de mí
I have been working as an English Language Teacher since 2010. I have taught students of all age groups and levels and I have prepared candidates for exams like TOEIC, TOEFL and IELTS. I took my teaching online for the first time in 2016 when I was hired by an online school as a native-level English tutor to teach English to Russian speaking students. I have been teaching English online to Russian and Greek speaking students ever since. I specialize in Grammar, Business and Conversational English. I have a Bachelor's degree in International and European studies and I have also studied in the Department of English Language and Literature of the University of Athens. In 2019, I started teaching Greek to some of my Russian students living in Cyprus and I realized that teaching my native language was equally rewarding and fulfilling for me as teaching English. My goal is for my students to be confident speakers of Greek or English. This year I also published my own ESL book that helps learners study English and teachers conduct more productive classes.

I’m a TEFL certified English language teacher and I started my teaching career in 2010. I’ve been working online since 2016 using interactive platforms and new technologies so that my students have a fun and effective learning experience from the comfort of their home. I believe that the best way to teach English is through the communicative approach which helps
speakers of other languages overcome the language barrier. However, every student is unique and I know how to adjust my teaching style accordingly. I have had extra training in American English and I can help with common pronunciation mistakes. I’ve also written and published my own ESL book on English grammar that can be studied by learners and used by English teachers as a tool for lessons that are more productive. I’m really enthusiastic about helping people achieve their goals in English learning and I hope to see you online!

Eva
Hello, my name is Eva, and I hail from the stunning country of Greece. However, for the past 17 years, I have been residing abroad, embracing diverse cultures and experiences that have enriched my perspective on life. With almost more than a decade of experience as a flight attendant, I've encountered both the joys and difficulties of language barriers. These experiences have fueled my passion for effective communication and intercultural understanding.

Before transitioning to my current role, I earned certifications in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and Family Engagement in Education from Harvard University. These credentials have equipped me with the skills to foster inclusive and supportive learning environments. My academic background has also provided me with a deep understanding of educational methodologies and the importance of engaging families in the educational process.

Presently, I work as a Secondary School teacher, specializing in Social Studies and Literature. In my classroom, I strive to create a dynamic and interactive learning atmosphere where students feel empowered to explore, question, and connect with the material on a deeper level. I am a firm believer in the transformative impact of education and strive to open doors to the world for my students through the power of learning. By incorporating diverse perspectives and fostering critical thinking, I aim to prepare my students to become informed and active global citizens.

In addition to my teaching role, I am also passionate about translation work. I have extensive experience translating books and websites, which allows me to bridge language gaps and make content accessible to a wider audience. This work has deepened my appreciation for the nuances of language and the importance of cultural context in communication.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy traveling, reading, and immersing myself in different cultures. These passions not only enrich my personal life but also enhance my teaching, allowing me to bring real-world experiences into my lessons. I am dedicated to continuous learning and professional development, always seeking new ways to inspire and engage my students. Through education, I hope to make a lasting impact and contribute to a more interconnected and understanding world.
