I am a professional violinist currently completing my 2nd Master studies at the Haute École de Musique Vaud Valais Fribourg in Switzerland, after a Master in performance.

I offer violin lessons for:
• Children and beginners
• Adult amateurs
• Intermediate students

Lessons are available in English and French.

My teaching focuses on:
• Building solid technique
• Developing musical expression
• Creating a positive and motivating learning environment

I adapt each lesson to the student’s level and goals.

Je suis violoniste professionnelle, actuellement en fin de Master à la Haute École de Musique Vaud Valais Fribourg, après un Master de concert.
Passionnée par la transmission, je souhaite accompagner chaque élève dans son développement musical avec sérieux, bienveillance et plaisir.
J’enseigne à des élèves de tous niveaux :
• enfants débutants
• adolescents
• adultes (débutants ou amateurs)
Ma pédagogie est adaptée à chaque élève, avec un travail progressif sur :
• la posture et la technique de base
• l’oreille et la musicalité

Bonjour,
Récemment diplômée d’un double master (master en pedagogie + master en performance) en violon à la Hochschule für Musik à Bâle, je propose des cours de violon.

Mes cours s'adressent à un large public de tous niveaux (du débutant, au 3ème cycle de conservatoire) et de tous âges.

Je peux m'adapter aux besoins et objectifs de chaque élève et par exemple proposer des cours de formation musicale en complément.
Je suis également ouverte à tous types de répertoires.

Je peux donner les cours à mon domicile, mais également à la Hochschule à Bâle ou bien au domicile de l’élève si il n’est pas trop éloigné.

Je suis actuellement professeur à l’académie Maestri à Riedisheim.

Musicienne d'orchestre et chambriste, titulaire d'un double master en pédagogie et en performance en France et à l'étranger, je me ferais un plaisir de vous accompagner sur le chemin de l'apprentissage violonistique. Riche de 15 ans d'expérience, j'enseigne l'initiation musicale, la théorie de la musique et l'alto que j'ai pratiqué en musique de chambre et bien sûr le violon, mon instrument principal avec lequel je me produis dans plusieurs orchestres et ensembles.

Depuis que j'enseigne le violon et la musique, il n'y a pas un jour sans que je me dise que la motivation et le plaisir sont les plus grands moteurs de l'apprentissage. C'est pourquoi je privilégie toujours lors de mes cours une atmosphère détendue et propice au travail. La technique a bien sûr une grande importance pour moi, mais elle n'est pas qu'un but en soi.

Man sagt, dass die Geige der menschlichen Stimme sehr nahe ist.
Durch das Spielen des Instruments können Sie die Stimme Ihres Herzens in Klang verwandeln.

Mein Unterricht bietet sowohl eine Annäherung an die Grundlagen des Geigenspiels, als auch an das Vergnügen, ein Stück zu spielen. Das Erlernen der Grundlagen vertieft Ihr Verständnis für das Instrument und das Zusammenspiel mit Ihrem Körper und stimuliert sowohl Ihre rechte, als auch Ihre linke Gehirnhälfte, was auch die innere Entwicklung fördert.

Für angehende Geiger:innen gebe ich auch Ratschläge zur Körperhaltung, zur Bogenführung (z.B. Vermeidung von Sehnenentzündungen) und zur weiteren Entwicklung betr. Arbeit in Ensembles wie Orchestern und Kammermusik wenn gewünscht.

Der Unterricht findet in der Regel bei mir zu Hause statt. Auch Online-Unterricht ist möglich.

Einmal im Jahr (dieses Jahr im November) wird es ein Konzert für meine Schüler:innen in Basel geben.

Über mich:

Mit vier Jahren habe ich angefangen, Geige zu spielen.
Erst zuhause, dann bei Familienfesten und schlussendlich unter und mit bekannten Musiker:innen in Japan.

Mit grosser Neugier und Leidenschaft für Musik zog es mich 2000 nach Europa, wo ich mein Künstlerdiplom, Konzertexamen sowie ein Zusatzstudium der Kammermusik bei dem weltbekannten Alban Berg-Quartett an der Kölner Musikhochschule absolvierte. Weitere wertvolle Impulse erhielt ich durch Studien bei Mitgliedern des Artemis-Quartetts an der Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Brüssel.

Während meiner Ausbildung konnte ich an mehreren internationalen Wettbewerben erfolgreich teilnehmen, darunter am 23. internationalen Michelangelo Abbado-Wettbewerb in Mailand (2. Preis und der Paolo Borciani-Preis) sowie am Alberto Curci-Wettbewerb in Neapel (3. Preis).

Aktuell bin ich regelmässig mit dem Sinfonieorchester Basel und dem Kammerorchester Basel zu hören. Nebst meiner Orchestertätigkeit widme ich mich mit grosser Freude der Kammermusik.

Ich gebe seit etwa 20 Jahren Privatunterricht. Ausserdem bin ich in Japan lizenzierte Musiklehrerin für die Sekundar- und Oberstufe.

Mein Name ist Ane, Geigerin aus dem Baskenland. Nach meinem Bachelorstudium in Violine an der Hochschule für Musik Basel bei Prof. Barbara Doll beginne ich nun mit großer Freude meinen Master in Violinpädagogik. Das Unterrichten ist seit jeher ein wichtiger Teil meiner musikalischen Berufung: Es begeistert mich, jeden Schüler individuell zu begleiten, auf sein Tempo einzugehen und ihm zu helfen, die Freude am Spielen und am Ausdruck mit dem Instrument zu entdecken. Meine Ausbildung und Orchestererfahrung haben mir einen breiten musikalischen Blick vermittelt, doch am meisten motiviert mich jetzt, dieses Wissen praxisnah und persönlich weiterzugeben. In meinem Unterricht lege ich Wert auf eine Balance zwischen Technik, Musikalität und Kreativität, damit das Geigenspiel nicht nur eine Herausforderung, sondern auch eine bereichernde und freudige Erfahrung wird.

My name is Alinka and I am a violin / viola teacher based in Basel, Switzerland.

I welcome students of all ages, whether you are getting started on a violin for the very first time, or to coming back to it after many years. I provide lessons catered to each individual, and am keen to help you on your musical journey! I like to combine building basic technical foundations with helping someone to connect with their own artistic expression. With children, I make lessons fun and interactive as they learn the basics of playing.

I graduated from the Musik Akademie Basel with a distinction in my Masters, and have performed all over Europe in renowned concert halls and festivals. I love teaching, getting to know students and helping them develop. I have years of experience and am dedicated to what I do.

Hi, I’m Gaia!
I’m a professional violinist and passionate teacher.

My course is designed for motivated violinists who are looking for guidance to grow and advance, as well as for beginners interested in discovering the world of the violin.
My teaching approach focuses on developing a strong musical sense together with a clear and structured methodology that ensures complete technical training. Among my greatest interests are pedagogy and psychology ; I read extensively on these topics to become the most well-rounded teacher I can be, capable of helping children, teenagers, and adults in their musical learning.

During my teaching activity, I often find myself recalling lessons and insights I received from my own mentors throughout my studies. I enjoy translating advanced concepts into simple and digestible forms for children and young students. I believe that every teacher has the responsibility to believe in the potential of each student and to constantly challenge themselves to find ways to make even complex ideas accessible. It is precisely at this age that the most important seeds of growth are planted.
I deeply believe that music is a personal investment that contributes to the full development of the individual. For this reason, I always prioritize empathy, mutual respect, and commitment in my lessons. A lasting improvement on the instrument can only be built on these foundations.
I also strive to keep my teaching informed by reading and researching beyond instrumental technique ;providing my students with a historically and theoretically aware approach to every piece we study.

I completed my Bachelor’s studies at the HMTMH Hannover (graduating with top marks, German 1.0 / Swiss 6.0 equivalent), and I am currently finishing my Specialized Master in Music Performance and Specialized Master in Chamber Music at the Musik Akademie Basel.
I have extensive experience in concert and ensemble performance and have been among the laureates of the Arthur Grumiaux International Violin Competition, the Città di Padova International Violin Competition, the Feast of Duos Sion, and a finalist at the ROSL Chamber Music Competition in London.
With my ensemble Trio Venere, I had the opportunity to perform in a public masterclass with Steven Isserlis at Wigmore Hall.
Coming from a musical family with a strong pedagogical tradition, I had the privilege to learn not only through my formal studies but also by observing my parents teach from an early age.
I have over seven years of teaching experience, and several of my students have successfully passed entrance exams for Italian conservatories (higher education) and won prizes in national youth competitions.

Sono una violinista professionista e un’insegnante appassionata.

Il mio corso è rivolto a violinisti motivati che desiderano crescere e progredire con il supporto di una guida, ma anche a principianti interessati a scoprire il mondo del violino.
Il mio approccio si basa sulla formazione di un forte senso musicale e su una metodologia chiara e articolata, volta a fornire una preparazione tecnica completa.
Tra le mie passioni vi sono la pedagogia e la psicologia, discipline che studio e approfondisco costantemente per diventare una figura il più completa possibile, in grado di aiutare bambini, ragazzi e adulti nel loro percorso di apprendimento musicale.

Durante la mia attività di insegnante, spesso mi tornano in mente concetti e insegnamenti appresi dai miei mentori durante gli anni di studio. Mi piace tradurre idee avanzate in forme semplici e digeribili per bambini e ragazzi, perché credo che ogni insegnante abbia la responsabilità di credere nel potenziale dei propri allievi e di mettersi in discussione per trovare il modo più efficace di rendere comprensibili anche i concetti più complessi. È proprio in questa fascia d’età che si cominciano a piantare i semi più importanti della crescita.

Credo profondamente che la musica sia un investimento personale e uno strumento di crescita a 360 gradi. Per questo motivo, nelle mie lezioni metto sempre al primo posto l’empatia, il rispetto reciproco e l’impegno. Sono convinta che un miglioramento duraturo sullo strumento possa avvenire solo su queste basi solide.
Mi tengo costantemente aggiornata, anche al di fuori dell’insegnamento strumentale, per offrire agli allievi un approccio consapevole del contesto storico e teorico di ogni composizione su cui lavoriamo.

Ho conseguito il Bachelor presso l’HMTMH di Hannover (con il massimo dei voti, 1.0 tedesco / 6.0 svizzero) e sto attualmente completando il Master Specialistico in Music Performance e il Master Specialistico in Musica da Camera presso la Musik Akademie Basel.
Ho maturato una ricca esperienza concertistica e cameristica, e sono stata tra i premiati dei concorsi internazionali Arthur Grumiaux, Città di Padova, Feast of Duos Sion, oltre a essere finalista del ROSL Chamber Music Competition di Londra. Con il mio ensemble Trio Venere, ho inoltre partecipato a una Masterclass aperta con Steven Isserlis alla Wigmore Hall.

Provenendo da una famiglia di musicisti con una forte tradizione pedagogica, ho avuto la fortuna di imparare non solo attraverso i miei studi, ma anche osservando i miei genitori insegnare.
Ho oltre sette anni di esperienza nell’insegnamento, e alcuni dei miei allievi hanno superato con successo gli esami di ammissione presso Conservatori italiani e ottenuto premi in concorsi nazionali giovanili.
