Welcome! I'm a dedicated English tutor with a passion for helping students unlock their full potential. I hold a degree in English and Philosophy from Durham University and have three years of experience teaching English in secondary schools in the UK. I also had the incredible opportunity to teach English for three months in Thailand, broadening my global perspective on education.

As a tutor based in London, I offer excellent knowledge of the AQA syllabus and a friendly, supportive approach. I specialize in helping students develop essential skills such as language analysis, comprehension, creative writing, literature analysis, and essay structure. As a teacher, I’m passionate about sharing my love for English with my students, helping them not only achieve academic success but also find genuine enjoyment in studying the subject. With a degree in English and Philosophy from Durham University, I have a deep and broad understanding of literature, which allows me to teach beyond the curriculum and encourage students to explore English in a more meaningful way.

While achieving exam goals is important, my ultimate aim is to foster a lasting appreciation for English that transcends the classroom. I provide a supportive yet challenging learning environment, where students feel comfortable tackling difficult concepts while being encouraged to think critically and beyond the obvious. I pride myself on being able to break down complex ideas into easily understandable parts, all while pushing students to expand their understanding and skills.

In addition to my focus on academic achievement, I have extensive experience teaching SEND students as well as pupils who are vulnerable and experience SEMH. I understand the importance of adapting my teaching to meet each student’s individual needs, ensuring that all learners feel supported and can thrive.

Whether it's language analysis, literature exploration, or essay structure, I strive to make learning English both rewarding and enjoyable for every student.

I specialize in English and French lessons to teenagers and Adults, in one on one or small group sessions, as well as in telephone lessons.
I help students perfect their grammar, vocabulary and syntax in business English(or French) or in conversational English(or French).

My approach to teaching is very close to coaching as I keep in contact with learners between lessons(by e-mail or telephone) to accompany them through their language needs and challenges.

I place high value on mutual respect, cooperation and active participation, the use of humour and imagination.

I have just finished a master's degree in electrical and electronic engineering at the University of Bristol and I followed a scientific course at the french lycée charles de gaulle where I obtained a very good mention.

I am very well placed to help you if you have some problems in math!

In addition, being in London of a Peruvian mother, I am trilingual and I can help you for your Spanish or English lessons.

I am a French native language speaker with full proficiency in Spanish. I have extensive teaching experience over 15 years acquired in France and Italy. I have worked across the ages and ability range both primary and secondary schools, colleges and adult’s education.
My degree in Science of Education and my training as a teacher give me some expertise to cover all French National Curriculum subjects. My subject specialisms as a foreign language are Spanish and French. I have also studied Literacy, Hispano-Americans Civilisations and culture as a degree at the University.

As a Modern Languages student I offer lessons in either English, French, Italian or Spanish. Lessons can be structured on the basis of your own needs and we can discuss which area you would like to study or improve in for as much as you like.

A previous Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle student, I am bilingual in English and in French and can therefore offer classes in English to all ages, including GCSE students as I did the international Option of the baccalauréat (OIB). Moreover, I can offer classes in French too as I am as fluent in both languages.

For Linguistics and Phonetics you will go through your university course assignments with me, we shall do "Chomskian trees" and we shall discuss theoretical points (eg GB theory, minimalist program). For Phonetics, IPA symbols and phonetic structures and theories (auto-segmental phonology and optimality theory). WARNING: there are many approaches to these theories, we shall go by what has been adopted at your university.

My course is offered to a range of students [different ages] who have a desire to learn how to write and/or enjoy writing. On an additional note, my business writing experience extends to writing case studies and basic report writing [based on my Sotheby's experience]. I can offer Creative Writing and Essay Writing Experience to students and/or young professionals [who have a desire to learn/practice their craft].

LNAT exam preparation - I am a highly experienced LNAT tutor, having logged 120+ hours of teaching the exam (as well as sitting it myself and obtaining 28/42, 16% higher than the cohort average). I have helped students gain admission to the University of Bristol, King's College London and Oxford University via LNAT tuition, with my tutees achieving scores as high as 31/42.
