Experience working with all ages and abilities from beginners to more advanced.

My goal is to help you as an indivdual on your musical journey, exploring together healthy singing, useful techniques, and overall developing your musical ear, discovering together your repertoire and musical preferences.

My lessons are bespoke and therefore depend on the needs and desires of each individual, whether you prefer a more theoretic approach or simply want to sing in a non-pressured fun/friendly environment!

Native to the United Kingdom, I am now based in Belgium for the past 5 years. As a professional opera singer I have been working in the industry for over 10 years, singing for national companies in the UK, Ireland, and Belgium, including English Touring Opera, Wexford Festival, La Monnaie and Opera Royal de Wallonie to name a few.
A dedicated teacher with over 15 years of experience, I have experienced working with students of all ages, from as young as 5 to 65 years old. I enjoy discovering and choosing repertoire to suit the needs of each of my students, covering many styles from classical, pop, and musical theatre repertoire.
I enjoy walking, practising yoga and cooking.

My name is Egita and I am a professional singer and vocal teacher. I began my musical studies in Riga, Latvia at the age of 9.
In 2006 I completed studies as a choral conductor and entered Jazeps Vitols Latvian Academy of music in classical singing and teaching department.
In 2010 I achieved bachelor in classical singing and also a professional qualification as a singing teacher.
In same year I started my voice studies in Conservatorium Maastricht with prof. Axel Everaert.
In 2014 I finished Master in Classical singing and Master in Opera singing.
During my studies in Riga, Latvia, I have worked as a singing teacher in Vidzemes Jurmalas music and art school, as well teached private students.
Also when I came to Maastricht, during my development as a professional singer, I kept teaching singing.
I regularly participate in various courses, masterclasses and festivals, and I have an active performance schedule.

Hello,

My name is Irina and I have been working as a professional opera singer and a singing teacher for over ten years. I recently moved from London to Maastricht where I live now with my husband and our 5 year old son.

I studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and the Royal Academy of Music in London. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Opera, which is the highest qualification level (Level 8) in the UK Qualifications Framework. I performed in many prestigious venues in the UK, including Royal Albert Hall, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Barbican, and St.Martin-in-the-Fields. I worked with Nelly Miricioiu, Jane Glover, Vladimir Jurowski, Robin Ticciati, Stéphane Denève, and many other renowned coaches and conductors.

I am currently part of the Limburg Education Tour project 'Weltatem', which is a collaboration between Het Geluid Maastricht (Romy Roelofsen and Gable Roelofsen) and Kirsten Schötteldreier.

Alongside my performing career, I also have been teaching singing. I am very passionate about teaching and I believe that music, whether it is listening to a concert, playing the guitar, or singing in the shower, is good for both our mental and physical well-being. It helps us to become more self-confident, find out more about how we can use our whole body as an instrument, to express and channel our feelings, and also to relax. It is never too early or late to start. Whatever your ability, aspiration, and age is, I am happy to explore with you both classical music and musical theatre. If you can learn how to use your voice properly you will be able to sing whatever and however, you want!

For children, I do not only teach singing but also beginners piano and basic music theory. It is very important to introduce music to the little ones from a very early age. And there are so many fun ways to learn. We discover and become little musicians through games, songs, dancing, movement, and acting.

Finally, I can offer Russian language coaching for both amateur and professional singers. Before pursuing my dream of becoming an opera singer, I graduated with a Master’s degree in Linguistics and Translation from Voronezh State University in my home city. As a result, throughout my singing and teaching career, I have also been asked to work as a Russian language coach and repertoire coach on many occasions.
