Hi,
My name is Katarina Viktoria and I am a multi-cultured music student. I was born in Latvia to a Ukrainian/Russian mother and a Swedish father. At the age of 3 we moved to Switzerland where I grew up in a German and Swiss German environment and these two languages became native to me.
During my life in Switzerland we moved to the US for a year where I learned English and went to primary school.
Later in life I moved to the Netherlands to study Classical Voice at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.

I grew up in a big family with lots of kids (I have 9 siblings), I know how to communicate with kids of various ages and how to teach them in a playful matter.

I love cpommunicating with people, which is also the base of my classes. How I build up my classes always depends on my student’s wishes, whether it’s the wish to improve their communication skills or to work on their grammar. I try to make my lessons as interesting as possible, using different exercises to playfully learn the language.
I always aim for variations, we speak, we write, we read and we listen.
I can also give homework and correct it, if that’s what the student wants.

If the wish is only to communicate and to improve the pronounciation, that’s also fine by me.

I love helping and supporting people in becoming their best version, so whatever makes you happy makes me happy :)
I love seeing my students improve, it motivates me to go on and support them in their language skills even more!

Hello everyone!

I am Katarina Viktoria and I am a Classical Voice graduate from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I am 27 years old and obsessed with languages, geography and culture.

I traveled and moved around a lot in my childhood/early adulthood, which is the reason for me knowing over 5 languages and being interested in different cultures and geography.

I’ve always liked teaching languages because it gives me the opportunity to get to know new people and to communicate with them. I love supporting and helping people and seeing their improvement over time. It motivates me to push them further and to make them their best versions of themselves.
I base my lessons on my student’s wishes, whatever you need help with, I’ll be there for you. I can help you with grammar, pronounciation, communication, homework etc.

I try to implement my student’s interests into our lessons so that the student is interested in the topics that we discuss. I also love learning new things thorugh my students, so I’m always open for new topics and new discussions.
