Emiliano Della Giovanna was born into music. Born into an artistic family in Naples, Emiliano practiced guitar and drums in his youth. During and after his studies Emiliano plays in various formations, from classical orchestras to Jazz and Rock bands, including Renzo Arbore, Vittorio Marsignia and Sergio Colicchio. MSC and Costa Crociere offer him nine contracts so that, in addition to teaching on the mainland, he travels around the world for eight years as part of an orchestra aboard various cruise ships. In February 2013, Emiliano moved to Ghent (Belgium) as a proud father, where he focused on jazz, world music and rock, as well as paternity. He is also active as a teacher at the Harteklop music school.

As director of the Artmusic music school in Destelbergen, founded in November 2015, Emiliano teaches drum, guitar and rhythmic music theory and organizes weekly jam sessions.

My drum lessons can go in all directions. From jazz to pop and rock and hip hop. Always starting from a good technical basis and live guidance. For all levels and age groups. Usually I build up the lessons from technical exercises. These serve as a warm-up and basic vocabulary for the student. The technical exercises start with simple single strokes but quickly build up to rolls, accents, double strokes and flams. The second part of a lesson covers the knowledge of different grooves. Both two-part and three-part grooves are part of the lesson package, but also quintuplets of grooves. In the last part of the lesson, the student has the freedom to bring his own music and analyze it during the lesson.

I am Jess, a musician and producer from Ghent, graduated as a bachelor in music at PXL Hasselt. In the meantime I have been teaching guitar for 10 years at music studios and in the form of private lessons at home. I am currently studying jazz drums (master) at the conservatory in Ghent and besides jazz I have a lot of experience with other genres such as hip hop, pop, rock, metal (+double pedal), latin etc. As a result I am open to many different types of music.
