I am Arthur, currently studying at the University of Geneva in my third year of a Bachelor of Law. I grew up with both the Dutch and English language and I simply have a passion for languages.

Education

I am currently enrolled at the University of Geneva at the faculty of law, specializing in international financial law. I am following a Bachelor of law at Utrecht University in the Netherlands.

I have experience as a teaching assistant at Huiswerk Instituut Nijkerk, an institute for Dutch high school children to give additional support for homework and study skills.

I graduated from the university of Geneva with a Masters in international law and aBachelor in International Relations. I would be very pleased to tutor you and help you improve your English, French or Dutch skills. I hold an international baccalaureate from the international school of Geneva and am therefore perfectly bilingual in both English and French. I am a native Dutch speaker. In addition, I have over 5 years of experience tutoring both children as adults and have worked as an assistant in the bilingual school Institut Florimont in their guided studies program helping 11 year old students with their homework.

I obtained a master's degree in international law at the University of Geneva and a Bachelor's degree in international relations. I am a Belgian (Flemish) and French student with a Masters in International Public Law (Amsterdam) and a Masters in Global development (University of Copenhagen). World traveler, I have lived in Thailand, Denmark, Greece, the Netherlands, US, Switzerland and many more countries, where I both dtudies and worked as a legal advisor.

I have been tutoring since 2017, both in person, in schools and online, since 2017, I have been working with around 250 students, located everywhere in the world! Here is an overview of my previous tutoring experience:

2022-Now:
Online tutoring on Apprentus, (approx 12h/week).

2023:
Tutor of Dutch at Varady Language school in Geneva

2021-2022:
I worked at "bijlesthuis," a Dutch tutoring institution, where I primarily taught French, Dutch, and English to adult learners seeking to improve their language skills. During the same period, I also provided classes to other students through Apprentus.

2021:
Through Apprentus and other websites, I assisted several younger students (ages 5-15) in Bern and Geneva, helping them improve their skills in subjects such as Maths and French.

2017-2020:
I worked for three years at a tutoring institution in Geneva called ARA, where I primarily taught French, Mathematics, and English.

During this time, I also spent two years working at a private school called Florimont, where I supported students aged 11-16 across various subjects by assisting them with their homework.

I can teach French, Dutch, and English, Spanish and in German, and I thoroughly enjoy teaching and assisting students in their progress and acquisition of new skills.

As a person, I am flexible, calm, and positive.

I like speaking Dutch, and I see that there are many Dutch speakers in Switzerland, but it is almost impossible for these families (husband, children) to find Dutch-speaking classes. I would like to help you learn Dutch in the Swiss context.

I would like to help you learn Dutch for whatever you need. We will find out what interests you, or why you need to speak Dutch, even if it is to understand your in-laws ;) I am very good at explaining grammar and I know the Dutch-speaking culture very well. The idea of my lessons is to use Belgian and Dutch culture to teach you the language.

I also offer Dutch tutoring for children who attend Dutch-language classes. I have experience helping children with their homework for children whose second language is Dutch.
