I am available for tuition sessions on the subjects of English Literature, English Language, Drama, Theatre Studies and European, American and Irish History.

I graduated in MA Hons English Literature and History in 2019 from The University of Edinburgh and I am currently finishing my MFA Acting for a Stage and Screen at Edinburgh Napier University.

I have experience teaching childrens drama classes for those aged 4 to 11 and of English Language Summer Schools for those aged 11 to 16. In addition, I have tutored the subjects of English, History and Drama across GCSE, A-Level and Undergraduate level.

Each session is tailored to the needs of the individual and can cover specific curriculum content as well as essay, exam and coursework technique.

I am flexible on the length of time of these sessions and can host these both online or in person if in Edinburgh.

I am a positive, compassionate and driven tutor with a passion for helping others to build confidence in themselves and achieve their best work.

I have background in acting and performance and I enjoy making lessons unique, interesting and imaginative, to help students tackle their studies from different angles, bringing fresh perspectives to their work.

I am originally from Northern Ireland but have lived in Edinburgh for 9 years and have worked in hospitality, education and retail whilst studying and performing in the city of Edinburgh and beyond.

I have been an examiner for AQA and am familiar with both AQA and Edexcel GCSE and A-level specifications, having taught the Edexcel spec before. I have tutored French to children (beginner to bilingual) and adults. The planning and delivery of my classes will be dependent on the individual needs of my students.

I have also worked as a primary school teacher and am an excellent teacher of primary school maths and English.

Hi there, my name is Ben and I am a recent 1st class graduate from the University of Glasgow in Scots Law! I am able to teach anything related to Law, or school subjects such as English, Geography, Economics and French as I received A* grades at these subjects in high school!

I have experience as a tutor for younger children as I co-ordinated a peer tutoring scheme, in which I taught the aforementioned subjects. My teaching style is organised, with worksheets and questions designed to make the student think deeply and use their knowledge, rather than merely giving them the answers. I am extremely friendly, patient and happy to work with students and adults of all ages, who I love to see succeed academically and build their general confidence levels.

I have worked in the state sector as class teacher for 5 years before moving into the private sector in 2021. Since then, I have been working as a teacher/tutor/governess within private households to provide homeschooling and travel tutoring services to families and children.
I teach all primary subjects as well as support with behaviour, learning how to learn, teaching children with additional support needs and language tuition. I am a native English, German and Russian speaker and speak fluent French, so can offer all four languages for tuition.
If required, I am happy to provide bespoke homeschooling services and am well-versed in accommodating a school curriculum whilst travelling. Rates vary upon discussion of a tailored program.
