I am a bilingual speaker of English and Greek who has been teaching English as a Foreign language for 15 years. I have helped many students sit the IELTS exam and achieve the band they need. I have studied English and French Literature and I am currently a student of Psychology. I am passionate about learning and teaching as well as helping student succeed in their targets. I am also a keen language learner (apart from English and Greek I also speak French and Italian) and currently trying to learn German. So I can identify with the challenges language learners face. I have been an examiner for AQA and am familiar with both AQA and Edexcel GCSE and A-level specifications, having taught the Edexcel spec before. I have tutored French to children (beginner to bilingual) and adults. The planning and delivery of my classes will be dependent on the individual needs of my students.

I have also worked as a primary school teacher and am an excellent teacher of primary school maths and English.

Hi there, my name is Ben and I am a recent 1st class graduate from the University of Glasgow in Scots Law! I am able to teach anything related to Law, or school subjects such as English, Geography, Economics and French as I received A* grades at these subjects in high school!

I have experience as a tutor for younger children as I co-ordinated a peer tutoring scheme, in which I taught the aforementioned subjects. My teaching style is organised, with worksheets and questions designed to make the student think deeply and use their knowledge, rather than merely giving them the answers. I am extremely friendly, patient and happy to work with students and adults of all ages, who I love to see succeed academically and build their general confidence levels.

I have worked in the state sector as class teacher for 5 years before moving into the private sector in 2021. Since then, I have been working as a teacher/tutor/governess within private households to provide homeschooling and travel tutoring services to families and children.
I teach all primary subjects as well as support with behaviour, learning how to learn, teaching children with additional support needs and language tuition. I am a native English, German and Russian speaker and speak fluent French, so can offer all four languages for tuition.
If required, I am happy to provide bespoke homeschooling services and am well-versed in accommodating a school curriculum whilst travelling. Rates vary upon discussion of a tailored program.
