I prepared them for national exams and concert appearances. I’ve also given privet lessons. Tutoring approach: Since every pupil is different, I believe that a good teacher always adjusts his methods to the needs and personality of his student. I strive to provide a structured and clear lesson, while focusing on music as something to be enjoyed. I work with the requirements of the grade system (from grade 1 to grade 8). I hold a Diploma with Distinction from the ARSM and have been won in several prestigious national and international competitions, including Galway flute festival, British Flute society competition for three years. I have graduated from London Symphony Orchestra. I love playing and creating music, and I am dedicated to helping others to discover the joy of flute. 🎓📜 Master’s degree in Saxophone Performance and Music Pedagogy, Sibelius Academy 2025 🎓📜 Bachelor studies in Saxophone Performance and Music Pedagogy, University of Cologne (Germany) 2022 Diogo is a curious musician, being part of different projects such as the Kaamos Duo (contemporary music for saxophone and soprano singer), chamber music with pianist Lambis Pavlou and Cantus Portugueses (traditional portuguese music with a modern twist). He also plays as a member of the contemporary music groups Korvat Auki and the Nyky Ensemble. His main musical interests at the moment are the collaborations with living composers, chamber music with different ensembles, and interdisciplinary improvisation. Diogo performances have taken place in many venues such as the Philharmonie of Essen, OrchesterZentrum Dortmund, Music Center Helsinki, Turku Castle, Liceu Auditorium Barcelona, Casa da Música do Porto, and many more. Diogo's recognition includes prizes in some international competitions and the recent recognition at the 2022 Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy competition for Contemporary Ensembles and the recent participation at the prestigious Josip Nochta Competition in Zagreb, Croatia. Diogo teaches all saxophones and ensemble playing in Portuguese, Spanish, English and German.
