Productive Math, Business, Economic and Accounting tutor with excellent problem-solving and time management skills. I teach students using inductive and deductive learning models each in appropriate scenario. As a teacher, I understand the importance of the communication of knowledge, therefore I utilize opportunities to create a learning environment, understand students stereotypes and motivation and plan lessons anchored to gaining private knowledge. I utilize application based learning techniques where students are encouraged to pick concepts from the course then encouraged to use the knowledge in solving world problems. For example, when I have explained a topic in economics or algebra, and have gained confidence that the students now understands the concept, I take the student into a journey of first solving the problems from the book and then ascend into solving a world problem such as world hunger etc. I understand how important it is to design a lesson plan and delivery, I focus in lesson plan and delivery ahead of time. I adhere to Harvard’s backward design where I first write outcomes of the lesson such as what I want the student to learn from the topic, then I move on to collecting mediums of delivering the knowledge. I am organized and efficient with maintaining student records and completing progress reports, the important part of progress measurement for me is two sided feedback.
