Art Class (Sketching, Painting (Acrylic), Mixed Media)

This class is to introduce you to the basics of acrylic painting. Whether it’s your very first time using a paint brush, or you need extra practice I will assist and teach you the basics acrylic painting. There is no rules in art only foundations. Let’s get started and make some art together!

These sessions allow the development of skills and knowledge of the trade, with the game facing the camera, familiarization with the audiovisual environment and the camera tool, in the art of acting. Your inventiveness and your uniqueness being at the center of your training, it is a question of dwelling on the objective criteria, such as the voice, the use of the body, the relationship with the partner, the capacity to occupy the space. I am an aspiring comic book designer who has spent my entire life practice and learning. As I've grown, there are three core artistic languages that have shaped how I create: - Shape Language (body shape, clothing shape, shape contrast) - Color Language (relearning color, color combination, textures in colors) - Expression (clothing choices, facial movements, positioning) I have created a 5-week workshop for each of these core artistic values. You may find that you especially want to focus on one artistic value, or are starting with a blank page and want all three. My Services: 1-off character consultation: We will discuss your pre-existing character and I will provide constructive criticism about it. We work together to brainstorm ideas and optionally, speak beyond it's visual design and into the setting they live in. Intended to be a one off or occasional feedback. No experience required! Hello! My name is Makenna, and I have been making art and painting for almost 10 years. I started very young, and believe that all students have infinite potential to learn an art form, no matter what access they have to materials. Whatever materials you have available, will be what I use! I'm very passionate about demonstrating that its not the materials that matter, it's the artist's passion. I'm very excited to work with you! In this workshop, I can show you the basics of acrylic painting; how to mix paint, what colors to use, how to use a reference. I can help you work towards completing a finished piece to be proud of. Be prepared to possibly get messy and have fun! If you decide we're a good match, and want to continue working with me, we will expand on these concepts and work on curating a list of goals you'd like to achieve. By the end of our time together, however many sessions that may be (I can work with you to create a plan based on a desired amount of sessions), I hope to have helped you achieve all of your goals in painting and improve your confidence within the medium!

In the field of art you can find plenty of different styles and associate them with a specific artist. Specific styles we will go over include Impressionism, Abstract art, Surrealism, Pop art, Modern art, and Minimalism. As an artist, you'll need to learn how to explore varying styles and creative aspects. I've designed this course as a basic guide on exploring different ways to approach your art and honing on a specific style. You'll learn how to differentiate between various styles, try to develop art in specific styles influenced by famous artists or art periods, and to adapt your own style by using it in a unique way that will define your artworks.

In my work, I use both traditional techniques (watercolor, painting, pencils, engraving) and digital techniques to create illustrations and animations! With my 13 years of experience in the field, and 7 years of teaching experience, I can offer you a program based on your specific objectives. For example: - Start or improve in observational drawing, life model, sketching, painting... to have better knowledge in academic drawing, or create your own illustrations. - Create a portfolio/book to apply to art and animation film schools.

You will always need a blank piece of paper and a pencil for class. Some people say that you need fancy materials to make art but that is far from the truth. Using what you have at home is perfect! We will be taking notes each class on techniques and we will also be doing sketches every class. On the first day of class we will start by setting goals for something we want to learn more about in art. I will work with you to gradually get to that place you want. Art is something that you learn just like everything else, putting in the work is part of learning and is needed in the subject of art as well!

As an aspiring artist, it is expected that you want to learn more on the various techniques that artist use to create amazing works of art. This class is aimed to teach you skills needed for art such as anatomy practice, value and many others.

This course is an in-depth look into drawing. It is intended for students with some drawing experience as a way for them to build upon existing skills, but students of all levels are welcome. We will go over line, form, and structure, beginning with contour line drawings and eventually building up to the student creating their own pieces. We will discuss figurative and non-representational works, as well as how we can utilize different methods of drawing to convey different feelings and emotions.

I specialize in drawing and painting, but I recognize that drawing is the foundation of art. It is also about being attentive and observant. Anyone could draw and it starts with looking carefully. This class is for aspiring artists, or anyone who wants to learn how to draw. My goal is to keep students inspired. I want to make each lesson personalized depending on what the student wants to learn while also introducing them to the foundational techniques of drawing.

This mentorship is designed for students or individuals who already development a strong interest for studio arts and is planning to develop a portfolio or projects, either for personal or academic purposes. The course is highly customized to each individual based on their focus and passion to create arts that is entirely unique yet convincing. Throughout the process of generate ideas to finalizing details, I will aid the students to find their own artistic voices by motivating them to think critically and encourage them to experiment for them to equip an artist mindset for the future.
