Tullia - Amsterdam50€
Trusted teacher: My teaching method developed during 20 years of experience and thanks to my studies of Music Pedagogy and Piano Teaching during my Master's in Piano at Livorno's Conservatory. I am currently a piano teacher in a British School and I prepared several students for ABRSM and Trinity College exams. As a private piano teacher, I work preferably in my studio, on a beautiful grand piano Yamaha, but, if not too far, I am also available for lessons at the student's house. My teaching is adapted to the skills and goals of each student. With beginning children, I aim at full musical development of the student (not just playing notes, but feeling the rhythm, singing, and expressing emotions through free improvisation); technically I don't work only at the finger position, but at the organic interaction arm-wrist-fingers, through simple exercises. With adult or advanced students, I observe them, to suggest which type of repertory to work together, and which aspects of the technique might still need improvement. I teach classically, through the learning of notes, harmony, and written music, but I teach also how to play songs with only chord symbols, and blues improvisation at a basic level. Both with children and adults I aim at creating a joyful experience during the lesson, in which focus is gained in a playful way, finding each time the best practicing solutions to technical and musical difficulties. In this way, practicing at home becomes not another heavy duty to add to an already busy schedule, but repeating a creative, searching experience, that is never the same. Books: the use of a method is often suggested in the first years. Later I advice classical pieces to be studied. Also, Pop or Rock songs that the student would like to perform are well accepted, if I think the student can play them.

Ciryl - Geneva33€
Trusted teacher: I offer tutoring courses in History and Geography, with a multidisciplinary opening that appeals to sociology, international relations or literature. The content of the courses is adapted to the level of the learner, to his specializations and to his needs. Having learned the scientific method, I am ready to open the field of my knowledge to desired spaces and periods. The course is aimed at high school or undergraduate students. In an associative context, I have already had the pleasure of helping students in their school careers, of adapting my method and my approach to different personalities. What I think is most important is to provide real support by instilling a passion for history and geography. Two human sciences in constant renewal! Of Swiss nationality, I am a student at the University of Geneva, in the master's Russia - Middle Europe of the GSI (Global Studies Institute), a multidisciplinary course which attracts geopolitics and contemporary history on a given space: the ex. USSR. A territory that I had the opportunity to explore as part of my internships and my field research with two international research institutes (IFEAC in Kyrgyzstan and CEFRES in Prague). I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in history (obtained with honors) and a Bachelor's degree in Geography and Planning (mention A. Bien) from the University of La Rochelle. Involved in several associations (Relai handicap de l'Université, AFEV), I had the opportunity to provide personalized academic support to enthusiastic students.

Trusted teacher: Maths is a subject which is often hated by many people as it is viewed as 'difficult' to understand. However, understanding Maths is not as hard as it may seem and can be an amazing achievement for many. Even now when I finally understand a mathematical concept I feel a huge sense of achievement! I pride myself on being a very personable tutor, connecting with my students personality-wise. All my students have said they feel comfortable and calm around me, which is something I believe significantly helps them achieve their goals! They know that even if they get an answer wrong, with me, it's okay because we'll work on it together in the best, most efficient way possible. Aside from Maths, I love to travel, sing, dance, read self-improvement books and invest! I am passionate about teaching young people about investing, since I think it is an important concept to understand and not gate-keep. All lessons are based on previous classes and what you personally feel you need to work on in that particular lesson. We'll also go through exam papers from the very beginning, so you know what's ahead. Everything is well prepared and well thought of to ensure you get the most out of each and every session. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions :) A few of my personal achievements in Maths have been: - Obtaining a First Class Honours in my Maths degree - Obtaining 100 in C3 - Obtaining 96 in M1 (I found Mechanics extremely difficult at first!) - Achieving an A* at GCSE - Tutoring over 50 students to meet their Maths goals over 10+ years! -A Level Modules Studied: C1, C2, C3, C4, S1, S2, M1, M2, D1, FP1, FP2, FP3 -Degree Modules Studied: Calculus and Analysis 1-3, Linear Algebra 1-3, Differential Equations, Geometry, Statistics, Probability, Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Mathematics, Theory of Linear Algebra, Advanced VBA and Excel, Business Mathematics. -Masters Modules Studied: Accounting, International Finance, Quantitative Methods in Finance, Valuation, Derivatives, Fixed Income Analysis, Corporate Finance, Capital Markets. French as a Foreign Language (FLE) Lessons – All Levels (Ixelles-Elsene)
Nana

rating green star
Nana is an excellent and fun teacher. I can really recommend her to anybody who wants to improve their French. I wanted to gain confidence in speaking French, so we chose the format of going for walks in different parts of Brussels. This way we had conversations whilst also exploring the city beyond the well-trodden paths. Nana is a perfect match if you want to leave the expat bubble and meet some real Belgians. But she is also fluent in English and has teaching experience abroad. If I couldn’t think of a word in French I would just use the English one and she would translate. As the weather gets colder, we will have to adapt our method, but I’m sure that will work out. I am looking forward to my next lesson with Nana.

Vincent

rating green star
If you would like to feel more confident in singing, improve the tone of your voice and learn some good (breathing) techniques, Vincent is the teacher to turn to. Vincent is an excellent and skilled teacher, who will take the time to tailor the lesson to your personal needs. I can highly recommend taking singing lessons with Vincent - aside from being professional, he is patient and empathetic.

Essma is an outstanding teacher. Her patience with my teenage daughter has been remarkable. We plan to continue our studies in both French and German under her guidance. One notable advantage is her ability to explain concepts in Spanish, which has proven to be very helpful. Thank you, Essma, for your dedication and excellent teaching!
