I will encourage you to ask as many questions as possible. If you are studying the material for the first time, we will slowly describe the types of problems that inspired the questions being asked on your assignments. For example, if we want to find the instantaneous velocity of a rocket, we need to find the slope of the tangent line to the position curve at the desired point in time. To solve this problem, we need to learn what the derivative is. To learn what the derivative is, we will need to learn what the limit is. The learning process will be organic. We will approach theorems as we go along to build the definitions we will need.
