I am currently on a year’s deferral from my studies at the Royal Academy of Music due to the COVID virus so now have more availability to teach! I have finished my second year at the Royal Academy of Music studying under Mark David and Will O’Sullivan. Prior to this, I was a student at Chetham’s School of Music receiving the highest level tutelage from world class players. Highlights of my playing career include playing a recital at Buckingham Palace, playing a fanfare for the Queen at Westminster Abbey for Commonwealth Day and recording two albums professionally, the first as Principal Trumpet of NYOGB and the second as Principal Fanfare Trumpet with the Gabrieli Consort. I have also had the pleasure to study under some of the biggest names within the trumpet world such as Reinhold Friedrich, Allen Vizzutti and Tine Thing Helseth, to name but a few. I also teach Piano as I hold both Grade 8 distinction in Piano (gained many years ago) and a Diploma in Music Theory which allow me to teach Piano to the highest level. I have a great passion for music that I love to share with students. I’m a firm believer that teaching doesn’t end when the hour is over and always encourage my students to freely contact me with any questions they discover during the week. I believe that the key to success with music is perseverance and having fun so I encourage my students to push themselves to be the best they can be, whilst also creating a fun learning environment!
