I teach Latin and Ancient Greek through a reading-based approach that brings the languages to life. Rather than memorising rules in isolation, students build grammatical understanding and vocabulary by engaging with authentic texts — discovering how the language actually works in context. Along the way, we explore the rich cultural and historical worlds behind the words, connecting language learning with the ideas, stories, and societies that shaped the classical world. For Italian, I focus on practical communication and real-world listening skills. Using podcasts and conversational practice alongside structured grammar resources, students gain confidence in speaking and understanding Italian as it is used in everyday life. My aim is to make language learning both effective and enjoyable, helping students progress steadily while developing a genuine connection with the language.
