English and German speaking music teacher with many years of experience from beginner to tertiary level. My youngest student was four years of age but I also enjoy teaching adults. With piano lessons, we do a combination of note reading, music theory, improvising and with horn lessons we work on breathing and other technical aspects of brass playing. I would be very happy to help to prepare horn students for Hochschule entrance exams as well. I believe that one of the most important aspects of being a teacher is developing my students’ confidence as well as developing their ability to step out of their comfort zone. Therefore my students have always been encouraged to sit for exams and perform in concerts, competitions and music festivals. It has been wonderful to see the success my students have gained through these events; however the best thing has been to see how their confidence has improved as a result.
